TPPM DNP: a first report

Recording of ssNMR/DNP Zoominar from May 4th, 2021
Hosts: Robert G. Griffin and Kong Ooi Tan
Speaker: Guinevere Mathies

Abstract:
Two new DNP pulse sequences are introduced: TPPM DNP (Two Pulse Phase Modulation) and XiX DNP (X-inverse-X), both named after the analogous heteronuclear decoupling sequences used in MAS NMR. For both sequences, the matching condition takes the same form as for TOP DNP, but the scaling factors differ. In experiments at Q band (51 MHz/1.2 T/34 GHz), XiX DNP was found to be more efficient than TOP DNP. Numerical simulations with Spinach were used to screen the XiX and TPPM matching conditions.
