Figure 4. In captivity, Phidippus pulcherrimus almost always (with the exception of Calycopis cecrops) approached the prey from the head region and delivered the attack head-on. This sequence of frames "grabbed" from a video, shows P. pulcherrimus manoeuvring upon encountering its prey, Disclisioprocta stellata (Geometridae).
