Size 8 in. by 4<sup>1/4</sup> in.; foll. 174. Twenty-nine lines in a page.</p> <p>Another Commentary on <em>Ibn</em> <em>S&icirc;n&acirc;&rsquo;s </em>الاشارات, by &lsquo;Izz al-daulah Sa&rsquo;d b. Manṣ&ucirc;r, commonly called IBN KAMM&Ucirc;NAH, a Jewish philosopher (d. A.H. 676). See Ḥ. Kh. i. 303, and regarding other woks of this author, Cat. Bodl. ii. 562, Fl&uuml;gel, Hdss. Wien, ii. 606, Cat. Lugd. iii. 349, etc.</p> <p>In two parts, the first of which (foll. 1-59) contains the Logic, and begins, without an introduction, as follows: قال العبد الفقیر الی رحمة الله تعالی سعد بن منصور بن سعد بن الحسن بن هبة الله بن کمونة وفقه الله لطاعته...احمد الله علی حسن توفیقه<sup>1</sup> لما نزل من السفر الیه منزلة التقدم بالاعداد للراحلة و الزاد. Concludes: فهذا ما اردت اثباته من المنطق و مباحث المنطق کثیرة جدا لکن ما خرج منها عن هذا القدر الذی (قد) اوردته فلیس بمهمّ عند طالبی الحقائق الخ.</p> <p>The second part (foll. 60-174) comprises the Physics and Metaphysics. It is inscribed: القسم الثانی فی علمی الطبیعة و ما قبله مع ما یندرج فیهما من غیرهما.</p> <p>The conclusion begins as follows:</p> <p>فهذا ما تیسر ایراده علی حکم العجلة فی اوقات مختلسة من الشواغل الدنیویة من غیر معاودة تنقیح و لا مراجعة تهذیب الخ.</p> <p>Carefully written, but almost without diacritical points, by..<sup>2</sup> b. &lsquo;Abd al-raḥm&acirc;n b. &lsquo;Abdallah, a M&acirc;lik&icirc; divine. Dated Tuesday, 12<sup>th</sup> Rab&icirc;&rsquo; II. (?), 734. Revised.</p> <p>A defect after fol. 15. The first few leaves are misplaced; they should stand thus: 1, 4, 3, 6, 5, 2, 7; and the last leaves should be placed in the following order: 168, 170, 169, 172, 171, 173, 174.
