Fifteen lines in a page.</p> <p>A Commentary (by قوله ) on <em>Ṭ&ucirc;s&icirc;&rsquo;s </em>Commentary to the first part, or Logic, of <em>Ibn S&icirc;n&acirc;&rsquo;s</em> الاشارات و التنبیهات.</p> <p>The author is not named. His preface begins:توجهنا الی جناب قدسک</p> <p>; and he says subsequently:</p> <p>هذا اخوانی کتابی فی شرح الشرح بریئا من النقض سلیما(fol. 2) من الجرح علی وفق ملتمسکم و موجب مقترحکم وازنت فیه بین الشرحین الخ.</p> <p>The commentary commences:</p> <p>قال الشارح العلامة احسن الله اکرامه الحمدلله الذی وفقنا لافتتاح المقال بتحمیده لاحظ فی هذه الخطبة کلام الشیخ فی خطبته حیث حمد الله علی التوفیق اوّلا الخ</p> <p>The following date is given at the end:</p> <p>هذا آخر ما اردنا ایراده فی قسم المنطق من هذا الکتاب والله الموفق للصواب فرغ المصنف لیلة الاضحی لسنة ست و خمسین و سبعمائة</p> <p>From this it would appear that this is the first part of the commentary of <a href="http://worldcat.org/identities/lccn-nr91037727/">ḲUṬB AL-D&Icirc;N</a> Muḥammad b. Muḥammad R&Acirc;Z&Icirc; or TAḤT&Acirc;N&Icirc; (d. A.H. 766; see Cat. Bodl. ii. 354), which, on account of its purpose, to decide the controversies of <em>Ṭ&ucirc;s&icirc;</em> and <em>R&acirc;z&icirc;</em><em>, </em>is often called المحاکمات. It is mentioned by Ḥ. Kh. ii. 302, though his statements do not agree with the preface of this MS. The second part seems to be contained in Cat. Lugd. iii. 322. no.
