Size 11<sup>1/4</sup> in. by 6<sup>1/2</sup> in. foll. 286. Thirty lines in a page.</p> <p>I. Foll. 1-264. The remaining portion of the <a href="https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.5237295">preceding work</a>, written in the same hand, and arranged in the following manner:-<sup>1</sup></p> <p>1. (foll. 1-44) <em>Geometry</em>; without title, but concluding: تم فن الهندسة.</p> <p>2. (foll. 47-131) <em>Astronomy</em>. Concludes: تم فن الهیئة. Then follows the colophon of the original copy, which begins: تم الدفتر التاسع و هو ثانی الریاضیات. This copy had been written by ‘Abd al-ḳaiyûm b. al-Ḥusain b. ‘Alî Fârisî, A.H. 642.</p> <p>3. (foll. 134-149) <em>Arithmetic.</em> Begins:</p> <p>الفن الثالث من الجملة الاولی (!) و هو اربع مقالات تم الارثماطیقی الخ</p> <p>4. (foll. 152-174) <em>Music</em>. Begins:</p> <p>الفن الثانی عشر من الریاضیات من کتاب الشفاء و هو فی الموسیقی و قد حان لنا ان نختم الجزء الریاضی من الفلسفة بایراد جوامع علم الموسیقی الخ</p> <p>Fol. 174<em>v</em>. contains an epilogue to this part by the aforesaid Saiyid Muḥammad. Date, A.H. 1152.</p> <p>Each of the preceding parts was copied from “an old MS.,” and collated with another which had been written at Mauṣil, A.H. 652.</p> <p>5. (foll. 179-264) <em>Metaphysics.</em> Begins:</p> <p>الفن الثالث عشر من کتاب الشفاء فی الالهیات</p> <p>This part concludes also (fol. 264) with an epilogue by Saiyid Muḥammad. It was transcribed from a copy of A.H. 897. The aforesaid Muḥammad Ṣâdiḳ finished it at <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Delhi">Shâhjahânâbâd</a>, on 2<sup>nd</sup> Rabî’ I., 1154 (فی الثانی من الشهر الثالث من السنة الرابعة بعد العقد الخامس من المائة الثانیة من الالف الثانی من هجرة من لا ثانی له فی الوجود الخ). He concludes with a poem in praise of the work, beginning:</p> <p>تم کتاب هو الجُمانُ وَهْوَ عن الکون ترجمانُ</p> <p>Each of the above parts has an ornament on its first page; the vacant leaves between them are ornamented with gold lines.</p> <p>II. Foll. 266-286. The first part of the author’s abridgement of the preceding work, called النجاة, on Logic. This work has been printed at Rome, 1593, as an appendix to Ibn Sînâ’s <em>Ḳânûn</em>. Cf. <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ka%C5%9Ff_az-Zun%C5%ABn">Ḥ. Kh</a>. vi. 303.</p> <p>Begins: قال الشیخ الرئیس ابوعلی بن (!) الحسین ابن عبدالله بن سینا رحمه الله اما بعد حمد الله و الثناء علیه بما هو اهله و مستحقه الخ.</p> <p>Written in the same hand as the preceding, with gold borders.</p> <p>In an elegant illuminated binding. This MS.
