El Camarón, Oaxaca, Mexico. 1) Tropical deciduous forest in the foreground, transitioning to oak and pine forest on the hillsides; 2) Acacia pennatula in the foreground. Note new leaf growth and attached dead branches. Beating these plants produced several species of clerids in numbers.
