The single-genus subfamily Molgolaiminae, formerly classified within the Desmodoroidea, is now classified with the Microlaimidae. The relationship between Stilbonematinae and Epsilonematidae remains unclear. The placement of Prodesmodorinae, either with the Desmodoroidea or Microlaimoidea, could not be determined with certainty.
