Figure 2 A pile of dry hen feces colonized byD. gallinae was divided into two pieces in Experiment 3. The left one was exposed to ants for 24 hours. The right one was not exposed to ants and was used as a negative control after being kept at ­ 20oC to hold the mites inactive.
