Visible near the base the coronoid process, appressed against the ventrolateral margin the mandibular ramus, is a thin fragment of bone interpreted as a remnant the descending process of the jugal. Wedges of the anterior and posterior parts of the base of the lower caniniform are visible immediately linguad of the upper caniniform, reflecting the unusual side-to-side occlusion of these enlarged anterior teeth.
