The genus Natalus is the most diverse in flight morphology, with most species clustering in the intermediate wing tip and large uropatagium ecomorph and two outliers: (1) Natalus primus, which clusters with two species of Chilonatalus, and (2) Natalus lanatus, whose broad wing tip is unique among natalids.
