Size 9 in. by 5<sup>1/4</sup> in.; foll. 26. Seven lines in a page.</p> <p>The First part of Sa&rsquo;d al-d&icirc;n Mas&rsquo;&ucirc;d b. &lsquo;Omar TAFT&Acirc;Z&Acirc;N&Icirc;&rsquo;S (d. A.H. 792) تهذيب المنطق و الكلام , which treats of Logic. See Ḥ. Kh. ii. 479, and Cat. Lugd. iii. 378. Printed at Lakhnau.</p> <p>Well written, in narrow columns, with frequent glosses of Various dates.</p> <p>On the last three pages are added the Greek names of the parts of the Logic, and some extracts from (Suhraward&icirc;&rsquo;s) <sup>2 </sup>كتاب المشارع و المطارحات, and from other works. Foll. 23 and 26 should be transposed.</p> <p>This copy was made for Afḍal al-d&icirc;n Ja&rsquo;far Ḥusain&icirc; Astar&acirc;b&acirc;d&icirc;, apparently near the end of the eleventh century. It became subsequently the property of Ḳ&acirc;ḍi &lsquo;Abd al-nab&icirc; b. &lsquo;Abd al-ras&ucirc;l (A.H. 1130).</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><sup>2</sup> Cf. Cat. Lugd. iii. 353.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
