A treatise on the Definition of knowledge (العلم), compiled chiefly from works of <em>Saiyid Sharîf</em>. The author is MÎRZÂ JÂN (d. A. H. 994).</p> <p>It begins with a quotation from the شرح المواقف (near the beginning of that work), as follows:قال فى المواقف و شرحه السابع اى من تعريفات العلم و هو المختار من تعريفاته الخ.</p> <p>Written in Nasta’liḳ, in narrow columns. Marginal notes, marked س ف. The first two leaves are written in a different style. The colophon runs as follows:تمت الرسالة المنسوبة الى العلامة المحقق التحرير المدقق حبيب الله المشتهر من مولانا ميرزاجان الشيرازی فى تأريخ شهر رمضان المباركة الميمونة المتبركة سنة ١٠٨١ فى بلدة المحفوظة السمرقند على يد احقر العباد محمد صادق ابن ملا صالح الفرغانى اللهم الخ.</p> <p>II.Foll. 8-64. DAWWÂNÎ’S Commentary on the تهذيب المنطق (see no. 539), without the preface.</p> <p>Written in a hurried Nasta’liḳ, by مير بزرگ انرخانی (?) , at Shâhjahânâbâd.
