Cost of Taxis in Bamako (2018)

<p>This dataset is a list of 60 taxi rides taken by me (Coleman Donaldson) in Bamako during research fieldwork in Bamako in April-May 2018 and November 2018.</p> <p>Each datapoint is for the negotiated cost of taxi rides that I took throughout Bamako. The estimated distance was calculated by doing a Google Maps search for directions between the start and end destination. In cases in which multiple routes were suggested, I selected the distance that most closely mirrored the route that I recall us taking.</p> <p>The shareable version of the dataset is &quot;taxis.csv&quot;. In this version, I have stripped out identifying information related to exact start and end destination as well as the exact date of the trips.</p>
