(Oxford: India Office, 1903): volume 1,</strong></a>&nbsp;<strong>number 2567 here with notations and hyperlinks].</strong></li> </ul> <p>784</p> <p>Ḳiṣṣa-i-Am&icirc;r Ḥamzah (قصّۀ امير حمزه).</p> <p>An incomplete copy of the romance of Am&icirc;r Ḥamzah, the son of &lsquo;Abd-almuṭṭalib and uncle of the prophet, in a version similar, as it seems, to that in the copy of the Bodleian Library (Bodleian Cat., No. 473), and the second and third copy of the British Museum (Rieu ii. p. 761). It begins thus:الحمد لله ..... امّا بعد قصّۀ داستان مرد ميدان پهلوان روى زمين عمّ رسول آخر الزمان امير حمزه بن عبدالمطّلب بن هاشم بن مناف قريشى كه مبارزان عالم را حلقۀ بندگی بگوش انداخته چنین آورده اند كه در قرن ماضيه كه در ايران زمين پادشاهى بود در شهر مدائن الخ.</p> <p>This copy breaks off at the end of the fifty-eighth d&acirc;st&acirc;n, which deals with the battle of Uḥad, and begins on fol. 159<sup>a</sup>. The whole work contains, according to the various copies, from seventy to eighty d&acirc;st&acirc;n. On the possible authorship of Mull&acirc; Jal&acirc;l Balkh&icirc;, comp. Rieu, loc. cit., and Garcin de Tassy, Histoire de la litter.</p> <p>Hind., 2nd ed., vol. i. p. 236; on Turkish versions of the Ḥamzan&acirc;ma, Fleischer, Kleiner Schriften, iii. p. 228; Bodleian Cat., No. 2108; and G.
