Bird-of-paradise illustrations (from top to bottom: P. apoda, P. raggiana, P. minor, P. rubra, P. decora, P. guilielmi and P. rudolphi; Lynx Edicions, Barcelona, Spain). Individuals no. 113–115 were originally determined as P. apoda. However, a re-examination revealed that while it is difficult to correctly assign these subadult individuals, their overall body size is indicative of P. raggiana.
