(Oxford: India Office, 1903): volume 1,</strong></a>&nbsp;<strong>number 628 here with notations and hyperlinks].</strong></li> </ul> <p>894</p> <p>Jah&acirc;ng&icirc;rn&acirc;ma (جهانگيرنامه)</p> <p>Another of the older imitations of the Sh&acirc;hn&acirc;ma, by an anonymous author, celebrating the life and adventures of Rustam&rsquo;s son Jah&acirc;ng&icirc;r, who, like his unfortunate brother Suhr&acirc;b, engages in a fight with his father, without knowing him, until at last father and son recognize each other. Beginning:</p> <p>كنون باز كردم نگار سخن &ndash; بگويم حديث جهان كهن</p> <p>On fol. 1<sup>b</sup> the poem is styled: آغاز داستان جهانگير بن رستم نامه كه منتخب شاهنامه است.</p> <p>Very probably it is found like the Garsh&acirc;spn&acirc;ma, the S&acirc;mn&acirc;ma and others, interpolated in some copies of the Sh&acirc;hn&acirc;ma. Dated A.H. 1112, 29th of Dh&ucirc;-alḥijjah (A.D. 1701, June 6), at Akbar&acirc;b&acirc;d.</p> <p>No. 628, ff. 166, 2 coll., each ll. 16-32, written very unequally in different kinds of Shikasta; size, 9 in. by 5<sup>1/8</sup> in.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
