(Oxford: India Office, 1903): volume 1,</strong></a> <strong>number 1129 here with notations and hyperlinks].</strong></li> </ul> <p>982</p> <p>Khulâṣa-i-Khamsa-i-Niżâmî ( خلاصۀ خمسۀ نظامى).</p> <p>Extracts from Niżâmî’s five mathnawîs, by an anonymous compiler, divided into the following thirty-five chapters, viz. : 1.در توحيد ; 2.در نعت نبى ; 3.در صدق; 4.در صبر ; 5.در رزق ; 6.در قناعت ; 7. در فال نيك; 8.در نصيحت خاصّ ; 9.در نصيحت عامّ ; 10.در مهابت پادشاه ; 11. در صفت دولت; 12. در التجا باصحاب دولت ; 13. در عدل و احسان ; 14.در كرم و سخا ; 15. در عقل و هنر; 16. در راى و تدبير; 17.در آداب سخن; 18. در تواضع و خلق; 19. در طاعت و رياضت; 20. در اظهار اخلاق ; 21. در نگاهداشتن راز ; 22.در منع تحقير دشمن; 23. در مكافات ; 24.در شناختن حدود; 25. در پيرى و ضعف; 26.در تسكين غم و اميد راحت ; 27.در منع عيب ; 28. در تضرّع ; 29.در مذمّت بسيار خوردن; 30. در منع خنده ; 31. در مذمّت و طعن; 32.در ترك دنيا ; 33.در شكايت روزگار; 34. (probably مراثى) در مرائى ; 35. در امثال و داستان.</p> <p>Beginning of the preface in prose: الحمد لله رب العالمين و الصلوة على محمّد و آله اجمعين امّا بعد بر اصحاب دولت و ارباب مكنت واجب و لازمست الخ.</p> <p>This redaction of the extracts evidently agrees with the second Berlin redaction, see W. Pertsch, Berlin Cat., p. 767; No. 599 in the Bodleian Cat.; and Rieu ii.p. 575<sup>b</sup>. The division, given above, is that quoted in the preface; in the text itself there is inserted after chapter 11, as 12th, a new one, viz. در خدمت (see the same modification in the third Berlin redaction), and, on the other hand, chapter 31 is left out entirely. Copies of the larger redaction in thirty-seven chapters are described in W. Pertsch, Berlin Cat., p. 766; Bodleian Cat., Nos. 597 and 598; and Rieu ii. p. 575<sup>a</sup>.</p> <p>Copied A.H. 982 (A.D. 1574, 1575), by Mu’izz-aldîn Muḥammad alḥusainî.
