(Oxford: India Office, 1903): volume 1,</strong></a>&nbsp;<strong>number 1962 here with notations and hyperlinks].</strong></li> </ul> <p>998</p> <p>Sharḥ-i-Makhzan-alasr&acirc;r (شرح مخزن الاسرار).</p> <p>A detailed commentary on the مخزن الاسرار, compiled by Muḥammad bin Ḳiw&acirc;m bin Rustam bin Aḥmad bin Maḥm&ucirc;d albalkh&icirc;, commonly called Bakra&rsquo;&icirc; (بكرئى, so here on fol. 1^a, last line but two, and A. Sprenger, Catal., p. 521), or according to Rieu ii. p. 573^b, Karkh&icirc;, A.H. 1091 (A.D. 1680), according to the chronogram quoted in A. Sprenger, loc. cit. But Rieu&rsquo;s copy, which bears a note of purchase from A.H. 1089 (A.D. 1678), proves that somewhat older redactions of this commentary must have been in existence.</p> <p>Beginning (rather different from that in Sprenger and Rieu): بسم الله الرّحمن الرّحيم بمتابعت پس روان او بر بساط فضل انبساط گستاخى الخ.</p> <p>This copy is defective at the end, and breaks off in the middle of the داستان بقّال و روباه, which begins on fol. 204^a.</p> <p>No. 1962, ff. 210, ll. 15; clear Nasta&rsquo;l&icirc;ḳ; a little worm-eaten; size, 8&frac34; in. by 4&frac34; in.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
