Modeling Flocculation Processes of Cohesive Sediment Through Moment Methodology

<p>The data were used in the paper &quot;Modeling Flocculation Processes of Cohesive Sediment Through Moment Methodology&quot; which was submitted to &quot;<em>Water Resources Research</em>&quot;.&nbsp;In this paper, a new mechanistic Lagrangian-type flocculation dynamic model was proposed by solving the population balance equation with moment methodology and similarity transformation, and the influence of particles&#39;&nbsp;surface heterogeneities (<em>F</em>2a) was&nbsp;incorporated.&nbsp;Furthermore, the roles of shear rate, sediment concentration, particle size and surface heterogeneity were investigated theoretically.</p>
