Anna's hummingbird microsite foraging preferences experiments

<p>Data attempts to address the question: Do Anna's hummingbirds (<em>Calypte anna</em>) preferentially forage in shady microsites during extreme heat events? Data includes 1) Behavioral observations of Anna's hummingbirds visiting artificial feeders with 30% sucrose solutions under a shaded canopy vs. a non-shaded identical structure during heat waves and 2) Observations of hummingbird behavior during heat waves in an urban landscape, and 3) Pollen deposition data from pollen left at artificial stigmas attached to feeders from feeder trials.</p>
