(Oxford: India Office, 1903): volume 1,</strong></a>&nbsp;<strong>number 212 here with notations and hyperlinks].</strong></li> </ul> <p>1180</p> <p>Sharḥ-i-Gulist&acirc;n (شرح گلستان).</p> <p>Another short commentary on the Gulist&acirc;n, by Muḥammad &lsquo;Abd-alras&ucirc;l (or, as he is called here, by a confusion with his brother &lsquo;Abdall&acirc;h, &lsquo;Abdall&acirc;h alras&ucirc;l) bin Shih&acirc;b-almillat (Shih&acirc;b-ald&icirc;n) bin Shaikh &lsquo;Abd-all&acirc;h bin Shaikh Ṭ&acirc;hir bin Shaikh Ḥasan alḳuraishi (or alḳurash&icirc;) alh&acirc;shimi, who began this work after having completed his commentary on the B&ucirc;st&acirc;n (see No. 1152 in this Cat.) in A.H. 1073 (A.D. 1662, 1663); comp. Bodleian Cat., No. 724; Rieu ii. p. 604 and A. Sprenger, Catal., p. 550. It was printed in Lucknow, A.H. 1264.</p> <p>Beginning:</p> <p>سپاس بى قياس عليمى را كه علم علّم الاسماء كُلّها ( 2, v.29Sȗrah ) حرفى است از تختۀ تعليم او الخ.</p> <p>Every b&acirc;b of the Gulist&acirc;n comprises in this commentary five explanatory parts, viz. 1. verses of the Ḳur&acirc;n (آيات الهى); 2. traditions of the Prophet, sayings of the Shaikhs, and Arabic proverbs (احاديث نبوى و اقوال مشايخ و امثال عرب); 3. Arabic verses (اشعار عربيّه); 4. Persian verses (ابيات فارسيّه); 5.difficult Arabic and Persian words and phrases, in alphabetical order (لغات عربيّه و فارسيّه برعايت ترتيب حروف).</p> <p>Occasional notes and additions on the margin.</p> <p>Dated the 2nd of Ramaḍ&acirc;n, in the seventeenth year of &Acirc;lamg&icirc;r&rsquo;s reign (=A.H. 1085, A.D. 1674, Nov. 30).</p> <p>No. 212, ff. 255-284, ll. 20; Nasta&rsquo;l&icirc;ḳ; size, 9&frac12; in. by 6 in.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
