(Oxford: India Office, 1903): volume 1,</strong></a> <strong>number 1605 here with notations and hyperlinks].</strong></li> </ul> <p>1183</p> <p>Farḥang-i-Gulistân (فرهنگ گلستان).</p> <p>Another small glossary of the Gulistân, with the same title, chiefly explaining Arabic words by an interlinear Persian paraphrase; it is divided into two portions, the first of which is arranged alphabetically according to the <em>last</em> letter, viz. لغات مفردات بترتيب حروف, on fol. 1<sup>a</sup>, beginning with رضا(=خشنودى); the second is headed لغات متفرّقه, on fol. 18<sup>b</sup>, beginning with اتابت(=توبه).</p> <p>No compiler’s name appears. Dated, as it seems, the 9th of Ṣafar (? The word is entirely misspelt here), in the first year of Aḥmadshâh’s reign (=A.H. 1162, A.D. 1749, Jan. 29). A seal, however, of the first owner, Ghulâm Muḥyî-aldîn Rafî, bear the earlier date A.H. 1155 (A.D. 1742, 1743), on fol. 18<sup>b</sup>, another of the same is found at the end of the copy.</p> <p>No. 1605, ff. 21; careless Nasta’lîḳ; size, 7¼ in. by 4¾ in.</p> <p> </p>
