DECISION Masterclass 2021 / How to write a good scientific paper (by Prof. Dr. Paolo Angeli)

https://decision-for-liver.eu/

The objective of the DECISION project is to enhance the understanding of the pathophysiology of decompensation of cirrhosis leading to acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF) or death. This consortium will take advantage of already existing large and clinically well-characterized cohorts to ultimately develop prognostic and response tests and combinatorial therapies tailored to the needs of individual patients to decrease the risk of short-term death. In this Masterclass, invited speaker Prof. Dr. Paolo Angeli, the current editor-in-chief of the Journal of Hepatology (https://www.journal-of-hepatology.eu/), teaches his approach to #writing a good #scientificpaper and #publication and submitting it to the appropriate #journal, a process that he compares to the challenge of winning a soccer game. While focussing on concrete advice, he also points out several common mistakes that less experienced authors make, some of which can be easily avoided. How? Watch the video! The Masterclass is part of the DECISION project's training programme for early-career scientists and took place on September 8th 2021 near Barcelona, Spain, during the 3rd General Assembly (GA) Meeting of the DECISION project. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 847949.
