The lyrical poems of Darwîsh Bahrâm Saḳḳâ of Bukhârâ (also called Ćaghatâ’î on account of his Turkish extraction), who died on his way to Sarândib or Ceylon, A.H. 962 (A.D. 1554, 1555), see A. Contents: Ghazals, in alphabetical order, except the first three; beginning of the initial ghazal, on fol. 1b (as in No. 365 of the Asiatic Society of Bengal, see A. Sprenger, Catal., p. 560): پا ز سر كرده براه طلبش حيرانم كه من قطره كجا و هوس عمّانم Beginning of the first alphabetical ghazal, on fol. 2b: الا يا ايّها السّاقى بده آن بادۀ حمرا الخ . Musaddasât, mukhammasât, ḳiṭ’as, a series of rubâ’îs, arranged alphabetically, and fards, on fol. 104a, beginning:السّلام اى روضه ات بر اهل دين دار السّلام الخ. Tarji’bands, ḳaṣîdas, and mathnawîs, on fol. 167b. The last thirty leaves are damaged at the bottom; the right order of ff. 88-145 is: 88, 105-144, 89-103, 104, 145. There appear two dates, on fol. 167b and at the end, viz. 19th of Rabî’-althânî, A.H. 1058 (A.D. 1648, May 13), and 2nd of Jumâdâ-althânî in the same year (A.D. 1648, June 24); the name of the copyist is Shaikh Manṣûr, who transcribed this MS. at Bardawân (بردوان ). No. 1822, ff. 221, 2 coll., each ll. 18-19; Nasta’lîḳ; size, 97/8 in. by 53/8 in.
