St Coelan's Holy Well

St Coelan's Holy Well Clare County Ireland St Coelan, 690 -750, was associated with Inishcaltra after the death of St Caimin. This ancient well, on the south side of the road between Tuamgraney and Bodyke, was dedicated to him. The well was a place of pilgrimage on the saint's feast day, 29th July, up until recent times. According to an inscribed plaque above the well house it was built over the well in September 1803. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
