Lapyahan site - San Remigio Archeology

This is a 3D rendering of one of the main units in the Lapyanan site in San Remigio, Cebu Philippines. This archeological excvation is already Season V of a series excavation conducted in the area more thann 9 years ago. This latest season is part of the Northern Cebu Archeological Project in partnership with the National Museum of the Philippines, University of San Carlos, Cebu Provincial government, the San Remigio Local government and the Aboitiz Foundation. Our excavations here have put San Remigio on the archaelogical and cultural heritage map as the oldes dated Iron Age site in Cebu if not in the Visayas and Mindanao, Philippines. To date, no other site with comparable finds has been radiocarbon dated and extensively studied as San Remigio is. The project is headed by Dr. John Peterson and Dr. Jobers Bersales assisted by Anthropology graduate students of the University Carlos, Zigfred Diaz, Cecilia Cabanes, Candice Canete, Regina Yoma and Anthropology undergraute Venice Moore.
