St. Johns Plain Pot, Orange County, Florida
This whole St. Johns pottery vessel, which dates to ca. 1050 CE, was uncovered at the Shell Island archaeological site by Rollins College archeaology students in 1982. It is permanently curated at the Rollins College Archaeology Lab but is currently on loan to the Orange County Regional History Center. Photos and model by Ellie Minette.
