Wmid-03a6b6 - Post Medieval Purse frame

An incomplete copper alloy frame from a purse bar, of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval dating (c. AD 1450 to AD 1550). Around 5-10% of the purse frame is present. The rest is missing, presumed lost in antiquity. The purse frame is L shaped in cross section and curved in shape. One complete circular hole is present on one side, with an internal diameter of 1.7 mm. The top surface exhibits grooved decoration consisting of two lines in a zig zag pattern.
