The bronze letter "Q" of the Roman forum

In Terracina (Italy) about 3 meters below the current floor there is a Roman "Forum in compito Severianae", a square placed at an intersection from which starts the Via Severiana that arrives at Anzio. Via Severiana was an ancient Roman road in central Italy leading from Latium to Campania (now in Lazio), running southeast from Ostia to Terracina, a distance of 80 Roman miles (c. 118 kilometres) along the coast. It took its name from the restoration of existing roads with the work carried out in 198 AD during the reign of emperor Septimius Severus. The paving is made of local limestone: the slabs measure about 1.60 m. long by 0.70 m wide; their thickness is about 25/30 cm.13 This bronze letter is the only still visible letter of the inscription that titled this Roman Forum Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
