FURTHER RANGE EXPANSION OF THE SCULPTURED RESIN BEE (MEGACHILE SCULPTURALIS) IN SERBIA AND BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA (SUPPLEMENTARY MATERIAL)

<p><strong>Table S1.</strong> Records of <em>M.&nbsp;sculpturalis</em> from Serbia and Bosnia &amp; Herzegovina during 2020, sorted chronologically. The unit record is defined as unique locality/date combination, hence, some recording sites encompass repeated recording events (being re-visited for various purposes); however, in few cases of extended observation of nesting activity, repeated reports are omitted. Source of data is abbreviated as: OR &ndash; Own Research (surveying by co-authors), or CSP &ndash; Citizen Science Project reports. Coordinates (Latitude, Longitude) are given in WGS84 system. Locations are given as broader toponyms and/or in combination with smaller units (municipalities, etc.), while coordinates were used to define the basic locality-units. Recorded by: co-authors are shown by initials, full surnames given for CSP contributors (but only initials if withheld by request). Recording context: mostly recorded on blooming <em>Styphnolobium</em> trees (49 out of 64), 7 based on nesting (but #46 includes both the nesting and observation on <em>Styphnolobium</em> within the same site), 9 were other contexts. Sex: F &ndash; female, M &ndash; males; indicates positively established sex of the observed specimens (some reports likely include both sexes, but undocumented). Sampling: number of collected specimens, followed by &quot;p&quot; if some included pollen.</p>

CT reconstructions and 3D surface models of preserved impressions found on a Rijksmuseum terracotta sculpture

<p>This dataset contains 3D micro Computed Tomography (CT) reconstructions (*.tiff files) and 3D surface models (Wavefront OBJ files) of preserved impressions found on the terracotta sculpture "Study for a Hovering Putto", dated between 1735 and 1750, and attributed to Laurent Delvaux (Gent, 17 January 1696 – Nivelles, 24 February 1778, Rijksmuseum, BK-NM-9352). The preserved impressions are fingermarks and toolmarks, which we analyse in the manuscript "Artist profiling using micro-CT scanning of a Rijksmuseum terracotta sculpture" by Sero et al. (<a href="https://doi.org/10.1126/sciadv.adg6073">DOI: 10.1126/sciadv.adg6073</a>).</p> <p>Folder names correspond to the names assigned to each impression in the manuscript. Each folder contains a stack of *.tiff files and a "Segmentation.obj", which is the 3D model obtained from Otsu's segmentation method in Slicer3D. The stack of *tiff files and the 3D models can be visualized together in Slicer3D.</p>

Horse Head Parthenon Sculptures

Playing around with Polycam from my last trip to the British Museum in the Parthenon Sculptures section. Description from the BM website "Marble statue from the East pediment of the Parthenon (East pediment O). The East pediment showed the miraculous birth of the goddess Athena from the head of her father Zeus. Many of the figures from the central scene are now fragmentary or entirely lost. This figure was carved as an isolated horse's head. Its ears are flattened back, its jaw gapes, it has flared nostrils and bulging eyes. A portion of the lower jaw and the inner side of the top of the head were cut away. There are dowel holes where the metal bridle was attached. On the crest of the mane are eleven smaller holes, in which some metallic ornaments must have been inserted. This is the head of one of the horses that drew the chariot of the moon goddess Selene or Nyx, goddess of the night. Two other horses and Selene's torso are in the Acropolis Museum, Athens. St Andrews Sarcophagus Pictish Sculpture

"Much of the carving has been carried out in remarkably high relief, and the main long panel represents a major work of David iconography: the human figures depict scenes from the biblical life of David, and their treatment shows strong Mediterranean influence. The large figure represents David rending the jaws of the lion, the figure on horseback wields a sword in his right hand and a falcon on his left and is under attack from a lion, while the standing figure has shield and sword. All three figures are dressed in elaborately draped clothing quite unlike the normal Pictish tunics. Exotic elements include the griffon devouring a mule to the left of the large figure of David and the pairs of monkeys depicted on the end-panel. " Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
