STOOKE SMALL BODIES MAPS V3.0

These maps of small solar system bodies have been prepared by Philip Stooke of the University of Western Ontario. This data set includes 270 map sheets of six asteroids, five planetary satellites, and three comets, all prepared from spacecraft images. This data set was updated in 2015 with the addition of 44 new map sheets.

Small Bodies Occultations V3.0

This data set is intended to include all reported timings of observed asteroid, planet, and planetary satellite occultation events made by observers from around the world. Included are occultation axes derived from those timings, and (wherever possible) volume-equivalent diameters derived from fitting to shape models. This version is complete through to May 2019, with observations up until Sept 2019.

STOOKE SMALL BODIES MAPS

The Stooke Small Bodies Map collection contains maps of small solar system bodies in various projections, with and without latitude/longiude grids. The maps are based on the best available mission data for each object. The collection includes four asteroids: 243 Ida, 253 Mathilde, 433 Eros (pre-NEAR encounter) and 951 Gaspra; and five moons: J5 Amalthea, M1 Phobos, M2 Deimos, S7 Hyperion and S11 Epimetheus. The maps are in JPEG format and are presented as a document collection. The science data directory contains only a map list.

JPL Small Body Database Search Engine

Use this search engine to generate custom tables of orbital and/or physical parameters for all asteroids and comets (or a specified sub-set) in our small-body database. If this is your first time here, you may find it helpful to read our tutorial. Otherwise, simply follow the steps in each section: 'Search Constraints', 'Output Fields', and finally 'Format Options'. If you want details for a single object, use the Small Body Browser instead.

JPL Small Body Database Browser

The JPL Small-Body Database Browser provides data for all known asteroids and many comets. Newly discovered objects and their orbits are added on a daily basis. Discovery circumstances are updated on a roughly monthly interval. Physical parameters, other than magnitude parameters, are updated on a less frequent basis.
