Dataset of "Structural Development on Ru and RuO2 Electrodes during Oxygen Evolution – an operando soft X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy Approach"
<p>Time resolved in-situ X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) in soft X-ray region was used to characterize polarized interphase on Ru and Ru oxide based electrodes under oxygen evolution reaction (OER) conditions. XAS spectra were used to align the type and population of oxygen-containing species formed at electrodes at anodic potentials with local electronic structure of the OER catalyst. The operando soft XAS data do not identify a single rate limiting process at potentials negative to 1.4 V vs Ag/AgCl. Individual intermediates of the oxygen evolution process coexist at the surface at potentials preceding the actual OER onset. The OER is accompanied with redistribution of the electron density resulting for a start of the catalytic cycle reflecting increased population of oxygen vacancies at the surface. The observed spectral behavior indicates a confinement of the OER to the coordination unsaturated sites (cus) at the surface. </p>

Data for "Profiling the transcriptomic age of single-cells in humans"
<p>This is a supplementary data for the article titled "Profiling transcriptomic age of human single-cells". Data created in this project is shared here for the scientific community. </p> <p>Here we used available scRNA-seq data of 1,058,909 blood cells of 508 healthy, human donors, for developing cell-type-specific single-cell transcriptomic clocks and predicting the age of human blood cells. We also applied our clocks to different external datasets and evaluated the age of single cells originated from COVID-19 patients and human embryos.</p> <p>For the description of the content of the dataset see the ReadMe file.</p>

German image spectral library of urban surface materials
<p>The German image spectral library consists of 5102 labelled image spectra of urban surface materials covering the spectral wavelength range between 455 nm and 2449 nm. The spectra have been extracted from high resolution imaging spectroscopy data (HyMap) acquired over the German cities of Dresden (18/05/1999, 01/08/2000, 20/07/2003), Potsdam (18/05/1999) and Munich (17/06/2007, 25/06/2007). This image data package ensures the collection of the most typical urban surface materials including their variations due to different illumination, alteration, observation conditions, regional specifications and data processing characteristics.</p> <p>The collection was done in two main steps: (1) manual collection of spectrally pure urban surface material pixels from the Dresden and Potsdam data sets including additional information, such as the results of field investigations, a field spectral library and color infrared aerial imagery (Heiden et al., 2007 ) and subsequent reduction for redundant pixel spectra; (2) spectral dissimilarity analysis to include and label meaningful unknow spectra from the Munich data set (Jilge et al. 2017 ). </p> <p>The image spectra are labelled based on three sets of spectra labels: one for EAGLE land cover (EAGLE_LCC, consult the “Explanatory Documentation of the EAGLE Concept” from the Copernicus Land website) , one for generalized material groupings (GENLIB_LCH_BuC_MG) and one for more detailed artificial material type (GENLIB_LCH_BuC_AMT).</p> <p>While every effort was made to ensure accurate information, this data set is presented "as is" without warranties of any kind. The authors accept no liability or responsibility to any person as a consequence of any reliance upon the data presented here. The user assumes all responsibility and risk for the use of this data.</p>
Urban material ground truth data for the 2007 HyMap hyperspectral image of Munich
<p><span>This dataset entails a spectral library file (.sli file with matching .hdr text file) with 12028 labeled spectra derived from the 4m resolution airborne hyperspectral HyMap image of Munich (Germany) that was acquired during the summer of 2007 (June 17 and 25 2007). The labeled image spectra are retrieved from pixels of the HyMap dataset that has been processed to level 2A surface reflectance in 119 bands ranging between the wavelengths of 455 nm and 2496 nm. The preprocessing performed on this image data is explained in Heldens et al. (2008) and Heiden et al. (2012). See the "Related works" section of this data publication.</span></p> <p><span>The ground truth (GT) data have been used in previous research (again, see the "Related works" section) and they were likewise used for the remote sensing-based mapping experiments with a generic urban spectral library performed in the frame of the GENLIB research project. The data set contains reflectance spectra of typical urban surface materials and their spectral variations.</span></p> <p><span>The spectra included in this dataset were sampled from the above mentioned HyMap image by (1) using the methodology described in Jilge et al. (2017) and (2) through the delineation of manually digitized regions of interest. The image spectra are <span> </span>labeled based on the method mentioned above and using ancillary reference data, already published urban spectral libraries, terrain knowledge and some field work. The header of the spectral library contains the various labels that were added to the image spectra. Supplementary dataset to publication: Complete Genome Sequence of Ovine Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis Strain JIII-386 (MAP-S/type III) and Its Comparison to MAP-S/type I, MAP-C, and M. avium Complex Genomes.
<p>This is the modified supplemented material to the publication “Complete genome sequence of ovine Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis strain JIII-386 (MAP-S/type III) and its comparison to MAP-S/type I, MAP-C, and M. avium complex genomes”.</p> <p>The complete circular genome of Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP) strain JIII-386 from Germany, closed by Nanopore technology in this study, was presented and compared with the draft genome of JIII-386, previously published in [doi:10.1093/gbe/ew154], the closed genome of the MAP-S/type I strain Telford, the MAP-S/type III draft genome of strain S397, twelve closed MAP-C (type II) strains and eight closed Mycobacterium avium (M. a.) strains of subsp. hominissuis (MAH) and subsp. avium (MAA). Structural comparisons clearly revealed the mosaic nature of MAP genomes, the differences between MAP subtypes I, II and III, and the higher diversity of MAP-S compared to MAP-C genomes. </p> <p>The material provides a wealth of detailed results from these analyses and comparisons. These include a list of identified ncRNA and Riboswitches, as well as additional genes in finished JIII-386, the gene content of identified prophage regions, copy number of identified transposable elements and a list of selected virulence-associated genes in the different MAP-type (I - III) strains. The genomic islands identified and included genes along with their predicted functions were presented for six MAP genomes (belonging to MAP-S/type I and III, and MAP-C), one MAH genome and one MAA genome. One table shows the corresponding genomic islands in the genomes of JIII-386, Telford and three MAP-C genomes. Furthermore, homologous genes of known MAP-S specific Large Sequence Polymorphisms regions (LSP<sup>S</sup> = LSP-S) were recorded in different MAP-S type strains, one MAH and one MAA strain, as well as genes of deletions #1 (LSP<sup>A</sup>-20), #2, and s-delta-1, previously described as MAP-S-specific deletions, their presence or absence in 3 MAP-S, 12 MAP-C, 4 MAH, and 4 MAA strains were listed. Different presence or absence of genes, but also identified frameshifts or disruptions of various virulence-associated genes could lead to the different MAP-type specific phenotypic characteristics. Comprehensive core and pan genome analyses (results listed in six tables) revealed unique genes and genes likely to have been acquired by horizontal gene transfer in different MAP types and subtypes, but also emphasized the highly conserved and close relationship, and the complex evolution of M. a. strains.</p> <p> </p>
Land transformation on multi-decadal timescales reveals expanding croplands and settlements at the expense of tree-covered areas and mangroves in Nigeria
<p>A comparative assessment of the change patterns was conducted for seven categories using multi-decadal timescales in seven agroecological zones during three time-intervals (i.e., 1986 – 2000, 2000 – 2013, and 2013 – 2022). These selected periods cover important epochs in Nigeria’s recent history. To examine how much humans have appropriated natural cover (HANLC) in Nigeria over the last four decades, we differentiated natural covers (e.g., tree-covered areas, grasslands, wetlands, and waterbodies) from human activity-related uses (e.g., cropland, artificial surfaces and otherland). To identify trajectories of changes signifying human appropriation of land cover, we evaluated the drivers and processes underlying these major transitions, 1) Natural regeneration and afforestation, 2) Cropland expansion, and 3) Settlement and infrastructure development. Cropland expansion is Nigeria’s most widespread change process with much loss of croplands related to natural regeneration and settlement expansion. The transition matrix is provided showing the extent of land-cover changes in Nigeria over almost four decades (1986 - 2022). Major land cover transitions in each agroecological zone is presented. Analysis of land cover change in each agroecological zone is over 100% when areas of persistence (i.e., areas of no change) are not considered in the analysis.</p>

Dataset of "Impact of Carbon Corrosion and Denitrogenation on the Deactivation of Fe-N-C Catalysts in Alkaline Media"
<p>In this work, we use a gas diffusion electrode half-cell coupled with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (GDE-ICP-MS) to quantify the Fe dissolution rates in the potential range between 0.93 and 1.5 VRHE. It is shown that Fe dissolution accelerates with increased anodic potential and temperature while it is independent on the presence/absence of O2. The onset potential of Fe dissolution at room temperature agrees with the reported onset potentials of carbon corrosion and denitrogenation, C and N being oxidized to gaseous COx and NOx species, respectively. This correlation supports that the electrochemical oxidation of the N-C matrix triggers the observed catalyst demetallation in these conditions. Using a set of ex situ physicochemical characterization techniques, including spectroscopy and microscopy, the various degrees of degradation under three sets of experimental conditions of interest (O2-RT, O2-HT, and Ar-HT, where RT = 22℃ and HT = 62℃) are rationalized. Combining the GDE-ICP-MS technique and post-mortem analyses, this work provides novel insights into the degradation pathways of various Fe, N, and C species during start-stop events, which may inspire the next generation of durable Fe-N-C catalysts for anion exchange membrane fuel cells.</p>

Water availability parameters for area around Figueres for 1985 - 2015
<p>Water availability modelling results from the Variable Infiltration Capacity (VIC) Macroscale Hydrologic Model model giving surface water parameters such as evapotranspiration, baseflow and runoff for an area around Figueres up to the Gulf of Roses, between the years 1985 - 2015.</p> <p>This dataset is deliverable D4.6 for the E4Warning project "<strong>Potential breeding areas - 1st draft version</strong>". These water availability parameters indicate the hydrological conditions to enable mosquitoes to breed and, as such, are an important covariate in determining the introduction and spread of mosquito borne diseases.</p> <p>Area of interest is given in terms of Subbasins of river sections classified according to modified Pfafstetter subbasins slopes to the Mediterranean I north.</p>
Peat characteristics, microbial PLFA, and fungal and actinobacterial sequences from Lakkasuo peatland drainage experiment, year 2004
<p>We analysed the response of microbial communities, characterized by phospholipid fatty acids (PLFAs), and fungal and actinobacterial communities, characterized by PCR-DGGE fingerprinting and direct sequencing, to changing hydrological conditions at three different sites in the boreal peatland complex Lakkasuo in southern Finland. Additionally, several peat characteristics were measured. The experimental design involved undrained controls as well as short-term (3 years) and long-term (43 years) water-level drawdown. The sites were, in their undrained state, a herb-rich sedge fen, a sedge fen, and a bog with hummock-lawn-hollow microtopography.</p> <p>Codes are explained in the Notes sheets of the Excel files. The contents of the csv files are identical to the corresponding Excel file data sheets.</p> <p>Please check the decimal separator! Comma is used in Finland, and that may have been carried over. All commas in data columns are decimal separators.</p>
Unravelling the physiological and psychosocial signatures of pain by machine learning
<p>These datasets include information from 118 subjects, with 81 chronic pain patients across three different cohorts, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), Low Back Pain (LBP) and Spinal Cord Injury with Neuropathic Pain (SCI NP) and 37 healthy subjects. Each participant underwent 40 repetitions of experimentally induced pain, resulting in a total of 4,697 pain trials. Physiological signals (EDA and EEG) and psychosocial information have been recorded and collected. Age, gender, height, weight, BMI, medications, fatigue, sleep quality, perceived health, quality of life, sleep quality, and sick leave and validated questionnaires: Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), Pain Catastrophizing Score (PCS), and Pain Self-Efficacy Questionnaire (PSEQ) and Multidimensional Assessment of Interoceptive Awareness (MAIA).</p> <p>This information has been used for the publication "Unravelling the physiological and psychosocial signatures of pain by machine learning".</p> <p><span><em><strong>Cite this dataset as:</strong></em></span><br>N.
