The 10 species are mainly scattered on the insular part of this area (Borneo, Java, Luzon, Palawan, and Sulawesi), with an isolated occurrence in continental Malaysia. The two new species from Hainan represent a northwestern expansion of the range of the genus by more than 1,500 km.
