SMALL SOLAR SYSTEM OBJECTS SPECTROSCOPIC SURVEY V1.0

This dataset contains the visible spectra of 820 asteroids obtained between November 1996 and May 2001 at the 1.52m telescope at ESO (La Silla). The useful spectral range is between about 4900 and 9200 Angstroms. The global spatial distribution of the objects covers the region between 2.2 and 3.3 AU. Some concentrations are apparent, since part of the survey was focused on particuarly interesting groups or families of asteroids. The observed asteroids have been classified according to the Tholen and the Bus taxonomies, with a good agreement between both in most of the cases.

SDSS-IV/SPIDERS XMM-Based X-Ray Point Source Spectroscopic Catalog

This catalog aims to provide a detailed description of the SPectroscopic IDentification of ERosita Sources (SPIDERS) survey, an SDSS-IV program aimed at obtaining spectroscopic classification and redshift measurements for complete samples of sufficiently bright X-ray sources. The authors describe the SPIDERS X-Ray Point Source Spectroscopic Catalog, considering its store of 11,092 observed spectra drawn from a parent sample of 14,759 ROSAT and XMM sources over an area of 5,129 deg<sup>2</sup> covered in SDSS-IV by the eBOSS survey. This catalog presents the SPIDERS XMM subsample of 3,196 sources which were drawn from the XMM Slew Survey source catalog, version 2 (XMMSL2), provided by the HEASARC in <a href="/W3Browse/xmm-newton/xmmslewful.html">XMMSLEWFUL</a>. The accompanying <a href="/W3Browse/rosat/spidersros.html">SPIDERSROS</a> table contains the 21,288 sources drawn from the Second ROSAT All-Sky Survey (2RXS) Source Catalog, available from the HEASARC as <a href="/W3Browse/rosat/rass2rxs.html">RASS2RXS</a>. This program represents the largest systematic spectroscopic observation of an X-ray selected sample. A total of 10,970 (98.9%) of the observed objects are classified and 10,849 (97.8%) have secure redshifts. The majority of the spectra (10,070 objects) are active galactic nuclei (AGN), 522 are cluster galaxies, and 294 are stars. The SDSS-IV/BOSS spectrographic observations are taken between 2014 and 2019. This table was created by the HEASARC in May 2020 based upon the <a href="https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/ftp/cats/J/A+A/636/A97">CDS Catalog J/A+A/636/A97</a> file vcxmmsl2.dat. Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer

The Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer (FUSE), launched on June 24, 1999, covers the 905-1187 Å spectral region and will obtain high resolution spectra of hot and cool stars, AGNs, supernova remnants, planetary nebulae, solar system objects as well as perform detailed studies of the interstellar medium. FUSE will be able to observe sources 10 000 times fainter than Copernicus, an early FUV mission, and has superior resolving power than the Hopkins Ultraviolet Telescope (HUT) and the Berkeley Spectrograph (BEFS) and the Tübingen Echelle Spectrograph (TUES) of the Orbiting Retrievable Far and Extreme Ultraviolet Spectrometers (ORFEUS). FUSE was planned for a 3 year lifetime with funding for an additional 2 years expected.

Spitzer Extragalactic First Look Survey MMT/Hectospec Spectroscopic Catalog

The Extragalactic First Look Survey is composed of 4 square degrees of imaging with MIPS and IRAC centered at J1718+5930, with extensive ancillary data from ground-based optical and radio telescopes. As one of the first observations made with Spitzer after the completion of Science Verification at the end of 2003 November, the aim of this 67 hr survey was to characterize the extragalactic source populations observed with Spitzer down to sub-millijansky levels in the mid-infrared. This catalog allows advanced queries of the MMT/Hectospec ancillary spectra described in Papovich et al. (2006).

Small Main-Belt Asteroid Spectroscopic Survey, Phase II V1.0

This data set contains visible-wavelength (0.435-0.925 micron) spectra for 1341 main-belt asteroids observed during the second phase of the Small Main-belt Asteroid Spectroscopic Survey (SMASSII) between August 1993 and March 1999. The purpose of the SMASSII survey was to provide a new basis for studying the compositional diversity and structure of the asteroid belt. Based on experiences gained from the earlier SMASS survey, SMASSII focused on producing an even larger, internally consistent set of CCD spectra for small (D < 20 km) main-belt asteroids. The observing strategies and procedures used during SMASSII roughly parallel those used in the first survey (Xu et al. Icarus 115 1-35, 1995), though several minor changes were made in instrumentation and in portions of the data reduction process.

Spectroscopic Binary Orbits Ninth Catalog (Dynamic Version)

The Ninth Catalog of Spectroscopic Binary Orbits (SB9) continues the series of compilations of spectroscopic orbits carried out over the past 35 years by Batten and collaborators, e.g., the 8th SBO Catalog (SB8, &lt;a href="https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/ftp/cats/V/64"&gt;CDS Catalog V/64&lt;/a&gt;) of Batten, Fletcher and MacCarthy 1989, Publ. DAO, 17, 1. This catalog is regularly updated. This version of SB9 contains orbits for over three thousand binary systems; notice that the numbers of orbits and binary systems included in this version differ from those in the reference publication, as the latter reflected the 2004 May 1 status of the catalog, when it had 2694 orbits for 2386 binary systems. There is an online version of this catalog, maintained by the authors, which is continuously updated, at &lt;a href="http://sb9.astro.ulb.ac.be/"&gt;http://sb9.astro.ulb.ac.be/&lt;/a&gt;. This table was created by the HEASARC based on the &lt;a href="https://cdsarc.cds.unistra.fr/ftp/cats/B/sb9"&gt;CDS Catalog B/sb9&lt;/a&gt;, using the files main.dat, alias.dat, orbits.dat and notes.txt. The CDS updates it regularly, and this HEASARC version is accordingly updated within a week of such updates. This is a service provided by NASA HEASARC .

An observed population of intermediate-mass helium stars that have been stripped in binaries - Raw Spectroscopic Data

<p>This repository contains the raw spectroscopic data obtained for the stars described in the manuscript "An observed population of intermediate-mass helium stars stripped in binaries" by Drout, Götberg, Ludwig, Groh, de Mink, O'Grady and Smith. All data was obtained with the Magellan Echellette spectrograph (MagE) on the 6.5-meter Magellan-Baade telescope at Las Campanas Observatory, Chile. We organize the data as follows:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Calibrations.tar.gz contains relevant calibration files. Specifically, bias frames, red flats, blue flats, and frames that can be used for echelle order-defintion in the MagE pipeline.&nbsp;</li><li>Files of the form Star1.tar.gz, Star2.tar.gz, etc. contain all of the individual science frames for each star that were used to make the final combined spectra published in Drout, Götberg, et al. as well as Thorium-Argon lamps taken immediately before or after each science frame.&nbsp;<br><br>&nbsp;</li></ul>

Raman spectroscopic data from tube furnace and natural wildfire Calluna charcoals, with accompanying wildfire thermocouple data.

<p>These datasets include Raman spectral parameters collected from <strong>a)</strong> tube furnace-pyrolysed charcoals,&nbsp;made from <em>Calluna vulgaris</em> (Ling Heather)&nbsp;at 400, 600, 800 and 1000 degrees centigrade, and&nbsp;<strong>b)</strong>&nbsp;wildfire charcoals (<em>Calluna vulgaris</em>) produced and collected during a prescribed heathland burn in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Accompanying these data includes thermocouple (fire temperature) readings from the heathland fire, corresponding directly to charcoal samples analysed using Raman spectroscopy (b).&nbsp;</p> <p>With regards to the derivation of this Raman data, deconvolution utilising two first order bands (D &amp; G) was implemented, and&nbsp;median values for each spectrum&nbsp;were produced. Following this, D- and G-band width (FWHM), intensity (ID/IG or &#39;R1&#39;) and area (AD/AG) ratios, band separation (G-D or &#39;RBS&#39;), and band width ratio&nbsp;(FWHMRa) parameters were calculated and applied. For geothermometry of wildfire charcoals, a linear equation was determined&nbsp;from FWHMRa median values - produced by the spectroscopy of&nbsp;tube furnace charcoals between 400 and 1000 degrees centigrade (a).</p>

IHW COMET HALLEY REDUCED SPECTROSCOPIC OBSERVATIONS V1.0

NASA's International Halley Watch (IHW) has created a Comet Halley Archive. The collection of data spans the full wavelength range as submitted by scientists to the IHW. The observations belong to one of the following Disciplines: Amateur, Astrometry, Infrared Studies, Large-Scale Phenomena, Meteor Studies, Near-Nucleus Studies, Photometry and Polarimetry, Radio Studies, and Spectroscopy and Spectrophotometry. The data collected by these nine disciplines were augmented by Spacecraft measurements. The data were submitted to IHW, but the evaluation and selection for the Archive has been the primary responsibility of the Discipline Specialist Teams for each network in cooperation with the Lead Center. The Spectroscopy and Spectrophotometry Network collected 2732 files of data which were classified as 'reduced', which means that at least wavelength is calibrated and in some cases flux as well. Some data on non-Halley targets for the spectroscopic observations can be grouped according to 'laboratory' calibration, dark, bias, flatfield, sky, and photometric standards. In the first category, a large number of 'arcs' and 'lamps' were used as follows: HE-NE, TH-AR, NE-AR, CU-AR, CU-NE, Thorium, Tungsten, Quartz, and Rubidium. For the 'sky' observers used the twilight, moonlight, and blank sky. The most common 'photometric' standards were stars, but observers also included other comets (Hartley-Goode), asteroids (Ceres), reflection nebulae (R8), and emission nebulae (NGC1982, NGC7000). A list of these stellar calibration targets follows: HD 140283, HD 184711, HD89688, HD102870, HD120086, HD13974, HD219188, HD 25680, HD 19445, HD18803, HD30455, HD26912, SAO 1280, HZ15, CD-22 7696, GD 190, GC5106, GC2188, GC2192, G19113213, G 99-37, L745-46A, Feige 15, Feige 56, Landolt 98, Landolt 92, Van Beuren, RHO ORION, CHI 1 ORION, 29 PI LEO. These data consisted of both one and two dimensional data covering the date range from 1984 December 23 through 1988 February 17.
