FIGURE 1. List of World species of the genus Pseudexechia Tuomikoski divided into four species groups. The male terminalia of a typical representative of each group is illustrated to the left. Their known distribution in faunal regions and subregions is given to the right. The longistylus group (Matile 1971, Kjaerandsen 1994) is known only from the Afrotropical Region. Four Afrotropical species described on single female holotypes cannot be placed with certainty but may belong to the longistylus group. Abbreviations: AFR = Afrotropical Region, ORI = Oriental Region, HOL = Holarctic Region, NEA = Nearctic subregion, PAL = Palaearctic subregion, EUR = European.
