<p>In this work, we propose a direct nonlinear approach to extract the more relevant IMFs corresponding to the different frequency components in the and bands and then obtain the BP in order to use them as features for mental task classification (see Fig. 3). The feature vector pi used for the demonstration in this paper is composed, for each sample I, 1 < i < 2048, in a given trial (among a total of 160 trials) of four bandpower, calculated of the rhythms and in positions C3 and C4 (Trad et al., 2011).</p>
Beam Alignment Measurements using a Hybrid Massive MIMO Testbed

Reciprocal F1 hybrids of two inbred mouse strains reveal parent-of-origin and perinatal diet effects on behavior and expression
<p>Raw data and statistical analyses from an experiment to study parent-of-origin and diet-by-parent-of-origin effects on expression and behavior. </p> <p>In this experiment, female NOD/ShiLtJ x C57Bl/6J and C57Bl/6J x NOD/ShiLtJ mice were exposed in utero to one of four diets. After weaning, their whole-brain gene expression, as well as a set of behaviors that model psychiatric disease, were recorded and analyzed.</p> <p>File_S1_README contains detailed descriptions of all included files.</p>
Hybrid sequencing reveals insight into heat sensing and signaling of bread wheat
<p>Wheat (<em>Triticum aestivum</em> L.), a globally important crop, is challenged by increasing temperatures (heat stress, HS); however, its polyploid nature, the incompleteness of its genome sequences and annotation, the lack of comprehensive HS-responsive transcriptomes and the unexplored heat sensing and signaling of wheat hinder our full understanding of its adaptations to HS. The recently released genome sequences of wheat, as well as the emerging single-molecular sequencing technologies, provides an opportunity to thoroughly investigate the molecular mechanisms of the wheat response to HS. We generated a high-resolution spatio-temporal transcriptome map of wheat flag leaves and filling grain under HS at 0 minute (m), 5 m, 10 m, 30 m, 1 hour (h) and 4 h by combining full-length single-molecular sequencing and Illumina short reads sequencing. This hybrid sequencing newly discovered 4,947 loci and 70,285 transcripts, generating the comprehensive and dynamic list of HS-responsive full-length transcripts and complementing the recently released wheat reference genome.</p>

Analysis of heritage stones and model wall paintings by pulsed laser excitation of Raman, laser-induced fluorescence and laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy signals with a hybrid system
<p>Analysis of heritage stone samples, alabaster, gypsum, limestone and marble, and model wall paintings was carried out with a laboratory, hybrid system based on the pulsed laser excitation of Raman, laser-induced fluorescence and laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy signals. The system is based on a nanosecond Q-switched Nd:YAG laser operating at its second (532 nm), third (355 nm) and fourth (266 nm) harmonics and a spectrograph coupled to a time-gated intensified charge coupled device for spectral analysis allowing detection with temporal resolution. For the stone samples, Raman spectra display the characteristic vibration modes of SO<sub>4</sub><sup>2-</sup> of calcium sulfate, in alabaster and gypsum, and of free CO<sub>3</sub><sup>2- </sup>of calcium carbonate, in limestone and marble. Simultaneously acquired laser-induced fluorescence spectra reveal characteristic bands that help to distinguish between heritage stone types. The elemental composition of stone samples is obtained by laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy upon excitation at 355 nm. Spectra of all stone samples reveal their elemental composition that includes Ca, Na, Mn and Sr and the presence of molecular species, such as CN, C<sub>2</sub> and CaO. Additional emission lines, ascribed to Mg, Si, Al and K, appear with different intensities according to the nature of the stone material. Model wall paintings, based on a red pigment, prepared as fresco or mixed with two different binders, were also studied. The complementary information provided by the three spectroscopic modes allows the identification of the pigment as red vermillion and of the different preparations based on the pigment alone or in mixtures with linseed oil and egg yolk binders.</p>
Finite element mesh of fusion energy heat exchange component: hybrid CAD/IBSim model including a graphite foam interlayer
<p>Image-Based Simulation (IBSim) mesh:<br> A finite element mesh of a conceptual design for a fusion energy heat exchange component (monoblock). The mesh is a hybrid from a computer aided design (CAD) drawing for the pipe and armour and IBSim for the interlayer. The IBSim interlayer is generated directly from a 3D volumetric image of a graphite foam block (KFoam). The 3D image was generated with an X-ray tomography scan performed by Dr Llion Evans with Manchester X-ray Imaging Facility equipment, which was funded in part by the EPSRC (grants EP/F007906/1, EP/F001452/1 and EP/I02249X/1). Conversion of the data to FE mesh was achieved using ScanIP, part of the Simpleware suite of programmes, version 7 (Synopsys Inc., Mountain View, CA, USA).</p> <p>The FE mesh data uses the EnSight Gold file format and may be visualised using Paraview (<a href="https://www.paraview.org">https://www.<strong>paraview</strong>.org</a>).</p> <p>The CT data used for the mesh is available as a separate dataset:</p> <p>This data was used originally for the following publications (please cite if re-using the data):<br> Ll.M.
