UARS Solar-Stellar Irradiance Comparison Experiment (SOLSTICE) Level 3BS V018 (UARSO3BS) at GES DISC

The Solar-Stellar Irradiance Comparison Experiment (SOLSTICE) Level 3BS data product consists of daily, 1 nm resolution, solar spectral irradiances and selected solar parameters. The instrument was a three-channel ultraviolet spectrometer that measured the magnitude of solar and spectral irradiances in the wavelength range from 119 to 420 nm. The design of the instrument allowed for observations of both the sun and bright blue stars, whose spectra is assumed to be constant. SOLSTICE was flown on NASA's Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite (UARS) and designed to measure the full disk solar irradiance with high precision and accuracy to follow short-term (minutes to hours), intermediate-term (days to weeks), and long-term (11 year sunspot, and 22 year solar magnetic field cycles) variations in the solar output. The SORCE Level 3BS data were processed with the version 18 algorithm. The SOLSTICE Level 3BS data consists of 1 granule per day. The data are normalized to an earth-sun distance of 1 AU, and instrument degradation have been applied to the data. Included with the primary solar spectral irradiance values are daily average integrated intensities of Lyman alpha (121.6 nm), O-I (130.4 nm), C-IV (154.8 nm) and C-I (156.1 and 165.6 nm), and core-wing ratios of Mg-II (280.0 nm) and Ca-II (393.3 nm), as well as Carrington latitude and longitudes. The data files are available in a binary record oriented format.

EPOXI INFLIGHT CALIBRATIONS - HRIV STELLAR PSFS V1.0

This data set contains a clear-filtered High Resolution Visible CCD (HRIV) point spread function (PSF) for exoplanet transit targets GJ 436, HAT-P-4, HAT-P-7, TrES-2, TrES-3, XO-2, and XO-3 and at least one filtered HRIV PSF for stellar calibrator targets for the EPOXI mission. The PSFs were produced by applying a drizzle method to sets of HRIV images of the targets acquired during 2008. A PSF for transit target WASP-3 was not produced due to a crowded star field.

EPOXI EXOPLANET TRANSIT OBS - HRIV STELLAR PHOTOMETRY V1.0

This data set contains aperture photometry of known transiting planet systems GJ 436, HAT-P-4, HAT-P-7, TrES-2, TrES-3, and WASP-3 derived from radiance calibrated, clear #6 filtered images acquired by the Deep Impact High Resolution Visible CCD from 22 January through 31 August 2008 during the EPOCh phase of the EPOXI mission. The photometry data were derived from time series of continuous 50-second integrations used to observe each system for about three weeks, typically covering five or more transits as well as secondary eclipses.

First Byurakan Survey Blue Stellar Objects Catalog

Eleven lists of blue stellar objects (BSOs) found in the First Byurakan Survey (FBS) low-dispersion spectroscopic plates were published in the journal Astrophysics in the period 1990-1996, The selection was carried out in the region with declinations +33 deg. < delta < +45 deg. and delta > +61 degrees with a surface area of 4000 square degrees. As a result, the present catalog of the FBS blue stellar objects (BSOs) has been compiled. Its preliminary version has been available at CDS since 1999. The author has revised and updated the FBS BSOs catalog with the new data from recently published optical and multi-wavelength catalogs to give access to all available data and make further comparative studies of the properties of these objects possible. The author has made cross-correlations of the FBS BSOs catalog with the MAPS , USNO-B1.0, SDSS, and 2MASS catalogs, as well as with ROSAT, IRAS, NVSS, and FIRST catalogs , added updated SIMBAD and NED data for the objects, and provided accurate DSS1 and DSS2 positions and revised photometry. The author also checked the objects for proper motion and variability. A refined classification for the low-dispersion spectra in the Digitized First Byurakan Survey (DFBS) was carried out. The revised and updated catalog of 1103 FBS blue stellar objects is presented here. (The catalog in fact contains 1101 objects, as 2 pairs of objects turned to be identical; however, the author has kept all objects in the list on order to allow users to enter and find objects by all accepted FBS names). The FBS blue stellar objects catalog can be used to study a complete sample of white dwarfs, hot sub-dwarfs, horizontal-branch B (HBB) stars, cataclysmic variables, bright AGN, and to investigate individual interesting objects. This table was created by the HEASARC in October 2008 based on the CDS table III/258 file fbs.dat. This latter catalog supersedes the previous edition (Abrahamian et al. 1999, CDS Cat. II/223) This is a service provided by NASA HEASARC .

Young Stellar Object Candidates in IC 417

IC 417 is in the Galactic Plane, and likely part of the Aur OB2 association; it is ~2 kpc away. Stock 8 is one of the densest cluster constituents; off of it to the East, there is a 'Nebulous Stream' (NS) that is dramatic in the infrared (IR). We have assembled a list of literature-identified young stellar objects (YSOs), new candidate YSOs from the NS, and new candidate YSOs from IR excesses. We vetted this list via inspection of the images, spectral energy distributions (SEDs), and color-color/color-magnitude diagrams. We placed the 710 surviving YSOs and candidate YSOs in ranked bins, nearly two-thirds of which have more than 20 points defining their SEDs. The lowest-ranked bins include stars that are confused, or likely carbon stars. There are 503 in the higher-ranked bins; half are SED Class III, and ~40% are SED Class II.
