Imaging of metabolites in symbiont containing tissues of Bathymodiolus sp. mussels from a hydrothermal vent

<p>MALDI-MS laser spot size directly influences the resolution of ion-maps generated by MALDI-MS imaging. Here we show from top to bottom different ion maps from <em>Bathymodiolus sp</em>. tissue acquired with decreasing spot sizes (laser spot diameter indicated in each image). Details relevant to the scale of the bacterial symbionts become visible by using laser settings under 10 &micro;m spot size.</p>

Project Database and Environmental and Circularity Database containing information on Basajaun Façade System Modules

<p><strong><span>1. INTRODUCTION</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span>The Basajaun project aims to build a sustainable joint between rural and urban areas through circular and innovative wood construction value chains. Building fa&ccedil;ade was one of the innovations developed in Basajaun, which were implemented in digital and real scale demo buildings. The main innovation for the fa&ccedil;ade includes the implementation of&nbsp;</span></strong><span> <strong>hybrid bio-based polymers and wood&nbsp;over three technological systems that incorporate increased use of wood-based components and a novel bio-composite material:&nbsp;the frame profiles, the insulation equipment, and the seal system.</strong>&nbsp;<strong>This implies the need to verify the reduction of environmental impact, including the calculation of its Embodied Carbon.</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p> <p><strong><span><br>2. REPOSITORY</span></strong> </p> <p><strong><span>The Project Database and Environmental and Circularity Database presented here serve as repositories of the specific information related to the Basajaun Fa&ccedil;ade System's life cycles (A1-A5) employed to assess its cradle-to-practical-completion Embodied Carbon. It can also be used to validate the digital Semantic Framework conceived for the facilitation of Fa&ccedil;ade Environmental Assessment beneath the project.<br>The Project Database contains datasets with technical information on each fa&ccedil;ade module analysed. This should be regarded as a complete database for the Basajaun commission job, including&nbsp;(1, 2, and 3) the list&nbsp;of materials, components, and processes related to three different modules (Glazed Vision, Opaque, and Window modules); (4) the fa&ccedil;ade modules&nbsp;assembly off-site;&nbsp;(5)&nbsp;Information on transporting modules to the construction site; and&nbsp;(6) the construction activities related to Opaque and Window modules.<br>The Environmental and Circularity Database is designed to be unique to the production plant and contains&nbsp;the&nbsp;four datasets. The first dataset (1) provides information on the environmental impact of each possible single material, component, or process related to the fa&ccedil;ade module's life cycle (e.g., carbon factors). Assembly off-site (2) and logistics (3) consumption and emissions data are stored separately in two different datasets.&nbsp;Finally, the dataset related to construction site options&nbsp;(4)&nbsp;contains data on all working activities related to the fa&ccedil;ade modules.</span></strong><span>&nbsp;</span></p> <p><strong><span><br>3. INSTALLATION</span></strong></p> <p><strong><span>All datasets are in .csv format with data separated by a ";".</span></strong><span>&nbsp;<strong><br>Private data belonging to third parties or under copyright, which cannot be published, have been replaced with "omitted".</strong></span></p>

This archive contains the raw data and Python Jupyter Notebook computer code to process, analyze, and generate the plots in this manuscript and its Supporting Information.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span>Abstract for the manuscript:</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span>Due to the hydrolytic instability of LiPF6 in carbonate-based solvents, HF is a typical impurity in Li-ion battery electrolytes. HF significantly influences the performance of Li-ion batteries, for example by impacting the formation of the solid electrolyte interphase at the anode and by affecting transition metal dissolution at the cathode. Additionally, HF complicates studying fundamental interfacial electrochemistry of Li-ion battery electrolytes, such as direct anion reduction, because it is electrocatalytically relatively unstable, resulting in a LiF passivation layer. Methods to selectively remove ppm levels of HF from LiPF6-containing carbonate-based electrolytes are limited. We introduce and benchmark a simple yet efficient electrochemical method to selectively remove ppm amounts of HF from LiPF6-containing carbonate-based electrolytes. The basic idea is the application of a suitable potential to a high surface-area metallic electrode upon which only HF reacts (electrocatalytically) while all other electrolyte components are unaffected under the respective conditions.</span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Data from: Preparation of isolated guard cells, containing cell walls, from Vicia faba

<p>Stomatal movement, initiated by specialized epidermal cells known as guard cells (GCs), plays a pivotal role in plant gas exchange and water use efficiency. Despite protocols existing for isolating GCs through proplasting for carrying out biochemical, physiological, and molecular studies, protocols for isolating GCs with their cell walls still intact have been lacking in the literature. In this paper, we introduce a method for the isolation of complete GCs from <em>Vicia faba </em>and show their membrane to remain impermeable through propidium iodide staining. This methodology enables further in-depth analyses into the cell wall composition of GCs, facilitating our understanding of structure-function relationship governing reversible actuation within cells.</p>

Dataset for Modeling scattering matrix containing evanescent modes for wavefront shaping applications in disordered media

<h3>About the data set</h3> <p>The zipped folder contains the saved computational run data of the Matlab code packages associated with our manuscript titled "Modeling scattering matrix containing evanescent modes for wavefront shaping applications in disordered media". Two .mat data files "saved-data-Code-Package-1.mat" and "saved-data-Code-Package-2.mat" are available within the zipped folder which are associated with the Matlab code packages hosted in the <a href="https://github.com/michaelraju/Generalized-S-Matrix.git" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Github repository</a> . One may add the data files "saved-data-Code-Package-1.mat" and "saved-data-Code-Package-2.mat" to the <a href="https://github.com/michaelraju/Generalized-S-Matrix.git" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Github repository</a> code package folders "Code-Package-1" and "Code-Package-2" respectively. Loading the saved run data (by setting <em>new_run_flag=0</em> in the main.m file contained in the Github repository) helps to visualize the results presented in the paper, without actually performing a new computational run from scratch. On the other hand, setting the flag <em>new_run_flag=1</em> yields a fresh computational run, initializing a new disorder.</p> <div> <h3>Contribution</h3> </div> <p>The dataset, the associated code packages and the analytical and numerical formulations were developed by Michael Raju as part of his <a href="https://hdl.handle.net/10468/14107" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PhD thesis</a>. Refractive index tomography of chitin-containing bristles (chaetae) from Platynereis dumerilii

Nature Communications 2024.</p> <p><strong>Biochemical isolation of bristles and imaging</strong></p> <p>Larvae were washed twice using artificial sea water. The larvae were washed in artificial seawater supplemented with 25mM EGTA, then lysed for 1 hour in Triton X-100 1% in the same buffer on ice. We could observe the appearance of a gel containing bristles. The gel was washed twice in 10 mM Tris-HCl, 2.5 mM MgCl2, 0.5 mM, CaCl2pH 7.6. 50 &mu;L were left inthe sample at the last wash and the gel was digested with 5 U of DNase I (Thermo Fischer Scientific) for 2.5 hours at 37&deg;C with 360 rpm agitation. Next,the digest was supplemented with 100 &mu;L of artificial sea water and digested with 200 &mu;L of 2.5 &mu;g/&mu;L Liberase Enzyme Blend (Sigma-Aldrich) for 1 hour at 50&deg;C. The bristles were washed 3 times in artificial seawater. The isolated bristles were mounted on&mu; Slide I Luer (Ibidi). The refractive index tomograms of isolated bristles were obtained by Nanolive 3D Cell Explorer with 60X magnification.</p> <p>The accompanied TIFF is 32-bit, where pixel values correspond to refractive index (e.g. pixel value in image 1.335 = refractive index&nbsp;<em>n</em>). The pixel size is 0.182um,&nbsp; the Z step is 0.372 um.</p>

Cyber4OT: ICS network traces containing normal activity and full attack traffic

<p>The <em><strong>Cyber4OT</strong></em> dataset contains prepared in the test-bed environment packet traces from normal activity of OT network, as well as, full network attack.
