VO1/VO2 MARS VISUAL IMAGING SUBSYSTEM DIGITAL IMAGING MODEL
This digital image map of Mars is a cartographic extension of a previously released set of CD volumes containing individual Viking Orbiter Images (PDS volumes VO_1001, VO_1002, etc.). The data in the latter are pristine, in the sense that they were processed only to the extent required to view them as images. They contain the artifacts and the radiometric, geometric, and photometric characteristics of the raw data transmitted by the spacecraft. This new volume set, on the other hand, contains cartographic compilations made by processing the raw images to reduce radiometric and geometric distortions and to form geodetically controlled Mosaicked Digital Image Models (MDIMs). (Because the photometric processing used in this MDIM was oversimplified, quantitative radiometric analysis on this data is not possible.) It also contains digitized versions of an airbrushed map of Mars as well as a listing of all IAU-approved feature names.
SMAPVEX19-22 Massachusetts Lidar Derived Digital Elevation Model V001
These digital elevation model (DEM) data consist of ground surface elevations derived from source lidar measurements collected in April and August 2022 in the vicinity of Petersham, MA during the SMAPVEX19-22 campaign. This location was chosen due to its forested land cover, as SMAPVEX19-22 aims to validate satellite derived soil moisture estimates in forested areas. The two acquisition periods occurred to characterize differences during "leaf-off” and "leaf-on" conditions.

This product set contains reduced-resolution Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (IFSAR) imagery and geospatial data for the Barrow Peninsula (155.39 - 157.48 deg W, 70.86 - 71.47 deg N), for use in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing software. The primary IFSAR data sets were acquired by Intermap Technologies from 27 to 29 July 2002, and consist of an Orthorectified Radar Imagery (ORRI), a Digital Surface Model (DSM), and a Digital Terrain Model (DTM). Derived data layers include aspect, shaded relief, and slope-angle grids (floating-point binary format), as well as a vector layer of contour lines (ESRI Shapefile format). Also available are accessory layers compiled from other sources: 1:250,000- and 1:63,360-scale USGS Digital Raster Graphic (DRG) mosaic images (GeoTIFF format); 1:250,000- and 1:63,360-scale USGS quadrangle index maps (ESRI Shapefile format); and a simple polygon layer of the extent of the Barrow Peninsula (ESRI Shapefile format). The DSM and DTM data sets (20 m resolution) are provided in floating-point binary format with header and projection files. The ORRI mosaic (5 m resolution) is available in GeoTIFF format. FGDC-compliant metadata for all data sets are provided in text, HTML, and XML formats, along with the Intermap License Agreement and product handbook. The baseline geospatial data support education, outreach, and multi-disciplinary research of environmental change in Barrow, which is an area of focused scientific interest. Data are available via FTP and CD-ROM.

MEaSUREs Greenland Ice Mapping Project (GIMP) Digital Elevation Model V001
This data set consists of an enhanced resolution digital elevation model (DEM) for the Greenland Ice Sheet. It was constructed by combining ASTER and SPOT 5 DEMs over the ice sheet periphery and margin with AVHRR photoclinometry for the interior and far north, and calibrating the data to approximate mean ICESat/GLAS elevations from 2003 to 2009. See <a href="http://nsidc.org/data/measures/gimp">Greenland Ice Mapping Project (GIMP)</a> for related data.
MEaSUREs Greenland Ice Mapping Project (GrIMP) Digital Elevation Model from GeoEye and WorldView Imagery V002
This data set consists of an enhanced resolution digital elevation model (DEM) for the Greenland Ice Sheet, derived from sub-meter resolution, panchromatic stereoscopic imagery collected by the GeoEye-1, WorldView-1, -2, and -3 satellites operated by Maxar Technologies. The DEM was created from in-track image pairs (i.e., both images collected minutes apart along the same orbital pass) and cross-track images (i.e., from different orbits) within the in-track imaging geometry and maximum time separation criteria. The DEM is registered to ATLAS/ICESat-2 L3A Land Ice Height, Version 5 (ATL06, V5) data collected in the summers of 2019 and 2020. See <a href="http://nsidc.org/data/measures/gimp">Greenland Ice Mapping Project (GrIMP)</a> for related data
CLEMENTINE UVVIS DIGITAL IMAGE MODEL

VO1/VO2 MARS VISUAL IMAGING SUBSYSTEM DIGITAL TERRAIN MODEL

(Because the photometric processing used in this MDIM was oversimplified, quantitative radiometric analysis on this data is not possible.) It also contains digitized versions of an airbrushed map of Mars as well as a listing of all IAU-approved feature names. In addition, special geodetic and photogrammetric processing has been performed to derive rasters of topographic data, or Digital Terrain Models (DTMs). The latter has a format similar to that of the MDIM, except that elevation values are used in the array instead of image brightness values. The Mars DTM exists in its entirety on Volume 7. Finally, Volume 7 has a listing of SPICE files derived for the Viking images used in the MDIM and the DTM. These files contain updated camera orientation matrices for each of the frames. The matrices are by-products of the photogrammetric processing for the control network required to compile the MDIM and the DTM.
