Everyday Augmented Conversation Videos Dataset
<p>This dataset builds on the <a href="https://zenodo.org/deposit/6901792">Everyday Conversation Videos Dataset</a> and includes augmented variants of those videos. The 160 videos in this dataset all depict about a minute long everyday conversations. For these, four different actors (A1-A4) acted out a set of eight scenarios (S1-S8) Here, the videos have been cropped, trimmed, and standardized to 720p at 30fps. We then added Snapchat filters to the videos by routing them through Snap Camera. Each video is then available in one of five filter conditions, where:</p> <ul> <li>F0: No filter added</li> <li>F01: Beautification filter</li> <li>F02: Subtle beautification filter</li> <li>F03: Face and body tattoo filter</li> <li>F1-F8: Scenario-specific filters</li> </ul>

Annotation for human genomic variation during the BMP4-induced conversion from embryonic stem cells to trophoblast by bone
<p>Whole genomic data of three cell lines were sequenced. These three cell lines are two hESC lines (H1 & H9) by invasion assays and iPSC cell line MRucR. Paired-end DNA libraries were prepared according to manufacturer’s instructions (Illumina Truseq Library Construction). And then, valid sequencing data is mapped to the reference genome (UCSC hg19) by Burrows-Wheeler Aligner (BWA) software. Reads that aligned to genomic regions were collected for mutation identification and subsequent analysis. Samtools mpileup and bcftools are used to do variant calling and identify SNP, indels. Control-free (Boeva V et al.2012) is utilized to do CNV detection. And BreakDancer (Chen K et al.2009) is applied to detect SV information. And, Single nucleotide variant (SNV) and small somatic insertions and deletions (indels) were identified using Strelka2.</p>

Baroclinic energy conversion in Mars Reanalyses
<p>Vertically integrated baroclinic energy conversion in the Mars Analysis Correction Data Assimilation (MACDA), Open-Access to Mars Simulated Remote Soundings (OpenMARS), and Ensemble Mars Atmospheric Reanalysis System for the ensemble average (EMARS) and representative member (EMARSmemb) for the Thermal Emission Spectrometer (TES) and Mars Climate Sounder (MCS) eras. Note MACDA does not have an MCS era, so there are seven (7) files. Included in each file are the BCEC (time x lat x lon), Mars year (time), Areocentric Longitude (time), latitude (lat), and longitude (lon) in each file. The files are named using the convention "BCEC_[reanalysis]_[instrument].mat". Data from: Soil nitrogen-cycling responses to conversion of lowland forests to oil palm and rubber plantations in Sumatra, Indonesia
Rapid deforestation in Sumatra, Indonesia is presently occurring due to the expansion of palm oil and rubber production, fueled by an increasing global demand. Our study aimed to assess changes in soil-N cycling rates with conversion of forest to oil palm (Elaeis guineensis) and rubber (Hevea brasiliensis) plantations. In Jambi Province, Sumatra, Indonesia, we selected two soil landscapes – loam and clay Acrisol soils – each with four land-use types: lowland forest and forest with regenerating rubber (hereafter, "jungle rubber") as reference land uses, and rubber and oil palm as converted land uses. Gross soil-N cycling rates were measured using the 15N pool dilution technique with in-situ incubation of soil cores. In the loam Acrisol soil, where fertility was low, microbial biomass, gross N mineralization and NH4+ immobilization were also low and no significant changes were detected with land-use conversion. The clay Acrisol soil which had higher initial fertility based on the reference land uses (i.e. higher pH, organic C, total N, effective cation exchange capacity (ECEC) and base saturation) (P≤0.05–0.09) had larger microbial biomass and NH4+ transformation rates (P≤0.05) compared to the loam Acrisol soil. Conversion of forest and jungle rubber to rubber and oil palm in the clay Acrisol soil decreased soil fertility which, in turn, reduced microbial biomass and consequently decreased NH4+ transformation rates (P≤0.05–0.09). This was further attested by the correlation of gross N mineralization and microbial biomass N with ECEC, organic C, total N (R=0.51–0. 76; P≤0.05) and C:N ratio (R=-0.71 – -0.75, P≤0.05). Our findings suggest that the larger the initial soil fertility and N availability, the larger the reductions upon land-use conversion. Because soil N availability was dependent on microbial biomass, management practices in converted oil palm and rubber plantations should focus on enriching microbial biomass.

GiCCS: A German in-Context Conversational Similarity Benchmark
<p>We introduce GiCCS, a first conversational STS evaluation benchmark for German. We collected the similarity annotations for GiCCS using best-worst scaling and presenting the target items in context, in order to obtain highly-reliable context-dependent similarity scores. In our paper, we present benchmarking experiments for evaluating LMs on capturing the similarity of utterances. Results<br> suggest that pretraining LMs on conversational data and providing conversational context can be useful for capturing similarity of utterances in dialogues. GiCCS will be publicly available to encourage benchmarking of conversational LMs.</p>
