ARGO ship classification dataset
<p>The ARGO ship classification dataset holds 1750 labelled images from PlanetScope-4-Band satelites. The dataset creation process and results on the dataset are published in the demo paper:</p> <p>{CITE}</p> <p>The imagery is provided as numpy binary files. All image data is licensed by Planet Labs PBC. The channel ordering is BGRN. The dataset is provided in two folders named "ship" and "non_ship". Those folders correspond to the original labels created during automated dataset creation. The files are numbered.</p> <p>Two additional .csv files are provided. The shipsAIS_2017_Zone17.csv file holds the AIS information on the imagery contained in the ship folder. The data was retrieved from marinecadastre.gov.</p> <p>During the experiments errors in the automatically created dataset emerged which are further described in the paper. The manual relabelling is supplied in the corrected_labels.csv file.</p>

Endurance Ship Wreck discovered
The wreck of Sir Ernest Shacketons Endurance was discovered on March 5, 2022 more than 3000m under water in the Wedell Sea. Ship Lines teaching aid - to be 3D printed
A teaching aid 3D file, to be printed and used for teaching the concept of ship lines. These are standardised lines used to design or record the curvature of a ship hull. This model is a simple double-ended boat shape (of no particular vessel type), with raised edges representing the stations, buttock lines and sheer lines of a hull. This was made for use in teaching maritime archaeologists at Flinder University but has been made freely available for use and download here. General Ship Repair
"General Ship Repair maintains the rich ship building tradition so long associated with the South Baltimore neighborhoods of Federal Hill and Locust Point. Charles "Buck" Lynch founded the company in 1924, moved to this location in 1929, lost the company to bankruptcy during the Great Depression and managed to buy it back at auction. Today, the fourth generation of the Lynch family operates the company at one of the last remaining industrial sites along Key Highway. General Ship has repaired a variety of vessels through the years, including schooners, steamships, paddle wheelers, and supertankers. Workers perform maintenance work on ships in dry docks at this site in addition to sending crews out to other facilities.
