Data from: Morphometrics and phylogenomics reveal a new species of Heuchera (Saxifragaceae) in northeastern México

<p><span>Here I describe a new species narrowly endemic to high-altitude limestone outcrops of the Sierra Madre Oriental, Coahuila, Mexico, together with a phylogenomic and morphometric evaluation of the <em>Heuchera</em> species of northeastern Mexico. Originally thought to be a disjunct population of <em>Heuchera</em> <em>sanguinea</em>, the new species is phylogenetically and morphologically most similar to <em>Heuchera</em> <em>lakelae</em>; from which it is distinguished based on morphometric characters and other morphological attributes, phylogenetic placement, geographic range, phenology, and ecological preferences.</span></p>

Problematizaci&oacute;n de la idea de comunicaci&oacute;n.&nbsp;</p> <p>2. Distinci&oacute;n entre apariencia y verdad del mensaje.</p> <p>3. El mensaje de terror o propaganda tiene un elemento volitivo inmediato y otro mediato (en analog&iacute;a con las acciones terroristas, pero sin ser tales); adem&aacute;s, la comunicaci&oacute;n de las organizaciones criminales se presupone veros&iacute;mil <em>ad intra </em>y falsa <em>ad extra</em> de la organizaci&oacute;n.&nbsp;</p> <p>4. La comunicaci&oacute;n de las organizaciones criminales mexicanas m&aacute;s sofisticadas tiene un formato epistolar y desemboca en una ilusi&oacute;n de transparencia.&nbsp;</p> <p>5. Estas organizaciones &mdash; conglomerados macrocriminales p&uacute;blico/privados &mdash; asumen la&nbsp;democratizaci&oacute;n y el desarrollo de la contrainsurgencia.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Encuesta Nacional a Hogares Rurales de México 2007 (ENHRUM II)

<p><strong>Encuesta Nacional a Hogares Rurales de M&eacute;xico 2007 (ENHRUM II)</strong></p> <p>La Encuesta Nacional a Hogares Rurales de M&eacute;xico se llev&oacute; a cabo por primera vez en el a&ntilde;o 2003 (ENHRUM I). Como en esa ocasi&oacute;n, el PRECESAM (COLMEX), el REAP (Universidad de California en Davis) y universidades e instituciones estatales de M&eacute;xico realizaron una segunda encuesta (ENHRUM II) durante los meses de enero a marzo de 2008, que recolect&oacute; informaci&oacute;n de la econom&iacute;a rural de 2007 (y en algunos casos de a&ntilde;os previos).&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>El objetivo principal de las dos ENHRUM es contar con informaci&oacute;n para el 2002 y 2007 de una muestra representativa de hogares rurales a partir de la obtenci&oacute;n de datos en 80 localidades del pa&iacute;s distribuidas en 14 estados agrupados en cinco regiones. La selecci&oacute;n de la muestra fue dise&ntilde;ada por el Instituto Nacional de Estad&iacute;stica Geograf&iacute;a e Inform&aacute;tica (INEGI).</p> <p>Los prop&oacute;sitos b&aacute;sicos de la ENHRUM II son los que siguen:</p> <ul> <li>Recabar datos sobre la econom&iacute;a rural y sus recursos naturales</li> <li>Extender a 2007 los datos para 2002 de la ENHRUM I</li> <li>Formar recursos humanos en el levantamiento de encuestas y en la investigaci&oacute;n</li> <li>Elaborar estudios sobre la demograf&iacute;a, econom&iacute;a, sociedad, migraci&oacute;n y uso de recursos naturales en el medio rural de M&eacute;xico y los cambios experimentados durante los &uacute;ltimos 5 a&ntilde;os</li> </ul> <p>Como en la ENHRUM I, hay dos encuestas: Comunitaria y a Hogares, y se aplican sus cuestionarios correspondientes a las mismas comunidades y hogares.</p> <p>Para hacer estudios sobre la econom&iacute;a y sociedad de los hogares rurales mexicanos con rigor estad&iacute;stico, la ENHRUM se ha dise&ntilde;ado como una encuesta tipo panel de hogares. Esto significa que en la ENHRUM II se entrevistaron a los mismos hogares que se encuestaron en la ENHRUM I.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

Chronological dataset of soil respiration fluxes from a seasonally dry forest in Northwest México

<p>Soil respiration data was acquired and analyzed as described in Vargas-Terminel et al.[1]. Briefly, soil respiration was obtained by measuring changes in CO<sub>2</sub> concentrations with a portable soil flux system attached to a static chamber covering a portion of soil. Each measurement cycle in soil lasted 3 mins and was done monthly during a four-year period in 8 to 12 locations within three sites of tropical dry forest in Northwestern Mexico (a recent abandonment, a mid-secondary forest and an old-growth). &nbsp;Also, simultaneous soil temperature and volumetric soil water content measurements were carried with a thermocouple thermometer and a soil moisture sensor, respectively. Finally, soil respiration flux was calculated with commercial soil data processing software.</p>
