Artificial datasets for online Declare discovery

<p>This file&nbsp;contains two datasets.</p> <p><strong>1. Periodical Sudden Drifts</strong></p> <p>For this case study, we have generated two synthetic logs (<span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{L}_1\)</span>&nbsp;and <span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{L}_2\)</span>) by modeling two variants of the insurance claim process described in [1] in CPN Tools&nbsp;and by simulating the models.&nbsp;<span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{L}_1\)</span> contains 14,840 events and <span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{L}_2\)</span> contains 16,438 events.</p> <p>We merged the logs (eight alternations of <span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{L}_1\)</span> and <span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{L}_2\)</span>) using the <em>Stream Package</em>&nbsp;in ProM&nbsp;(the source code of the package is publicly available at https://svn.win.tue.nl/repos/prom/Packages/Stream/Trunk).&nbsp;The same package has been used to transform the resulting log into an event stream. The event stream contains 250,224 events and has several sudden concept drifts (one for every switch from <span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{L}_1\)</span> to <span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{L}_2\)</span>).</p> <p><strong>2. Gradual Drifts</strong></p> <p>We have considered two variants of the insurance claim process described in [1],&nbsp;<span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{M}_1'\)</span>&nbsp;(with 21 activities) and <span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{M}_2'\)</span>&nbsp;(with 19 activities). We have also designed 6 additional models&nbsp;<span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{M}_a,\dots, \mathcal{M}_f\)</span>&nbsp;to represent the intermediate steps to go from <span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{M}_1'\)</span>&nbsp;to <span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{M}_2'\)</span>.&nbsp;Therefore, <span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{M}_1'\)</span> and <span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{M}_a\)</span>&nbsp;are very similar and the same happens for <span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{M}_a\)</span> compared to <span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{M}_b\)</span>, for <span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{M}_b\)</span> compared to <span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{M}_c\)</span>, and so on.&nbsp;We have simulated these models generating 8 logs (<span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{L}_1', \mathcal{L}_a, \dots,\mathcal{L}_f, \mathcal{L}_2'\)</span>). <span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{L}_1'\)</span>&nbsp;contains 139,938 events, <span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{L}_2'\)</span>&nbsp;contains 128,696 events and <span class="math-tex">\(\mathcal{L}_a,\dots,\mathcal{L}_f\)</span>&nbsp;contain 77,231 events (altogether).</p> <p>Using the <em>Stream Package</em>, we have generated an event stream containing 345,865 events.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>References</strong></p> <ol> <li>R. Lab-scale membrane bioreactor (MBR) high-frequency online data

<p>This dataset is composed of 4 periods of more or less continuous operation, but with varying length. The measured online data, with a frequency of per second, are stored chronologically in 4 compressed csv-files 'Data_MBR_Period_x'. The installation was running with some fixed and variable settings. The variable settings are stored in 'Settings_MBR'. They were only logged when changed, making this a small file. All additional information on the used sensors etc. is listed in the 'Metadata'-file, including the values of the fixed settings. Finally, 'Schematic.png' gives an overview of the MBR setup and the location of the sensors.</p>

The morphologically glossed Rigveda - The Zurich annotation corpus revised and extended. Hosted by VedaWeb - Online Research Platform for Old Indic Texts.

<p>This file contains morphological and lexicographic annotations for the Rigveda. It was created in the DFG-funded research project Vedaweb and used as source data for the linguistic research platform <a href="https://vedaweb.uni-koeln.de">vedaweb.uni-koeln.de</a>.</p> <p>Prof. Dr. Paul Widmer and Dr. Salvatore Scarlata from the "Institut f&uuml;r Vergleichende Sprachwissenschaft" (Universit&auml;t Z&uuml;rich) provided the VedaWeb project a Filemaker file that was later transformed in Cologne into an Excel file. This data contained a version of the Rigveda by Prof. Dr. A. Lubotsky ("Indo-European Linguistics", Leiden University) that had been morphosytactically annotated over the course of more than 10 years at the University of Zurich. A dataset on the use of online video by students at the in-video level

<p><span>A dataset containing learning analytics data for the playback of learning materials in video format in different college courses in the STEM field, across a period of ten years. It can be used to test hypothesis and tools regarding the use of video in different learning environments, and should be of interest to the learning analytics and educational data mining communities. It can also be of help to teachers and other stakeholders in the educational process to take decisions based on learners actions when playing videos. It consists of data for 35 different videos, with a total of 40,453 sessions, and 313,724 records. Dataset: Survey on the actual situation of antibiotic resistant bacteria detection by nucleic acid amplification test in clinical microbiology laboratories at hospitals in Japan: Online survey of participants in workshops organized by the Nara Association of Medical Technologists

<p>The coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic has led to the widespread use of the nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT), along with an increase in demand for SARS-CoV-2 tests. NAAT has been used to detect antimicrobial resistance (AMR) genes since before the pandemic, but the test has been performed in a limited number of facilities. We investigated the current status and background of Japanese clinical laboratories by surveying the implementation of genotypic AST in NAAT, which has become widespread owing to the pandemic. This means that 59% of the respondents possessed NAAT and were using it for genotypic AST. GeneXpert and FilmArray were introduced in the majority of cases (62.5% and 82.6%, respectively), with the pandemic as the trigger. More than half of the respondents cited &ldquo;rapid detection&rdquo; (56.0%) and &ldquo;ICT requests&rdquo; (52.4%) as the reasons for introducing the system. Regarding usefulness, &ldquo;contribution to infectious disease treatment&rdquo; (74.1%) showed the highest percentage. Among the respondents who cited &ldquo;not implemented&rdquo;, the most frequent responses were &ldquo;I have no plans, but I want to do it.&rdquo; (38.1%) and &ldquo;would do so if requested by a physician&rdquo; (33.3%). The most common reason for not implementing the system was concern about increased workload (52.9%). We believe that this is due to changes in the working environment caused by the pandemic and the characteristics of Japanese society. In the future, to promote the adoption of genotypic AST, it will be necessary to approach it through reports on its usefulness from domestic facilities, and simultaneously, improving and enhancing efficiency in work processes will also be essential.</p>

Data from: Effectiveness of Online Off-the-Job Training in Attracting Participants and Video-On-Demand Streaming in Improving Work-Life Balance: A Study Focusing on Medical Technologists

<p>The Nara Association of Medical Technologists has introduced online Off-Job Training (Off-JT) starting from FY2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to evaluate the online Off-JT, which differs from the traditional face-to-face format. Firstly, we compared the online format&#39;s ability to attract participants with the face-to-face format based on the number of training sessions and attendees. Despite having fewer training sessions (40.8% less), the online format had an average attendance of 105.4% higher (39.7 vs. 19.3) than the face-to-face format. To enhance participant convenience, we offered a limited number of live and video-on-demand (VOD) sessions on YouTube, evaluating their usefulness through an online survey focusing on work-life balance (WLB). The survey results showed that 81.9% (458/559) of respondents reported an improvement in WLB. The effect on WLB improvement varied depending on the viewing method, with VOD sessions showing 84.1% (376/447) and live sessions showing 73.2% (82/112). We believe that the increased ability to attract participants in the online Off-JT is mainly due to the elimination of travel burdens through internet-connected devices. The combination of live and VOD sessions on YouTube allowed participants to adjust their viewing time, leading to better allocation of free time and improved WLB. The online Off-JT and VOD delivery have shown to enhance convenience for participants by removing geographical and time constraints, resulting in positive effects.</p>

<p>Models for Building Relationships and Refining Approaches for Collaborating with Indigenous Communities: Reporting on Five Years of Online Work with the Nuer.</p> <p>Presentation given by Tatiana Reid at the Language Documentation and Archiving conference on the 5. October 2022 at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities.</p> <p>I report on my experience of working with the Nuer-speaking community. Nuer is a little studied West Nilotic language of South Sudan and Ethiopia. Over the past five years I have carried description, documentation and language development exclusively online through social media such as Messenger and WhatsApp, and more recently, via Zoom.</p> <p>I will highlight various aspects of this mode of work, showing what is possible to achieve working remotely and the practicalities of doing so. These include, but are not limited to: utilising google documents when working on recorded narratives with reference speakers; and collecting data using a hybrid mode where the researcher (online) and a community member (in-person) conduct interviews with speakers producing high quality recordings. I will also draw on my experience of outsourced documentation &ndash; where audio and video recordings are made by local organisations in East Africa. I will touch on the experience (together with the colleagues at the University of Surrey) of working towards literacy development. This work involved creating databases that the community members populated with data collected via our &lsquo;Nuer Lexicon&rsquo; Facebook group; and running an online Nuer literacy development workshops attended by over 30 community members from South Sudan, Ethiopia and from around the world.</p> <p>I claim that the prerequisite for conducting remote work with a language community is the collaborative approach between the researchers and the speakers of the language, which places greater emphasis on the 1) ability of the community members to to carry out data collection and processing and 2) continuity. My experience shows that ELDP/ELAR&rsquo;s advice for field linguists to strengthen capacity building within language communities is gaining even more relevance in the predominantly virtually connected world.</p>
