The second is inscribed موقف القرب <em>, </em>the third ﻣ الكبريآء <em>, </em>the fourth ﻣ انت معنى الكون, etc.</p> <p>Clearly written. Transcribed by Zain b. ‘Abdallah Muḳaibil, from a correct copy, which had been taken from that of the author, and had passed through the hands of several learned Shaikhs. Dated Sunday, 14th Jum. I., 1087.</p> <p>There follows a short treatise by <a href="https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n79077373.html">ZARRÛḲ</a> (Aḥmad Burnusî, d. A.H. 899), which had been added in the original copy by Sâlim, one of the Shaikhs aforesaid. It bears chiefly on the meaning of the word وجود.</p> <p>Begins:</p> <p>و بعد يا سيدى حققنا الله و اياكم بقضيّة الوجود ... فانه قد وصل كتابكم مشتملاً على نطق وجودكم الخ</p> <p>To this is added an extract from IBN ‘ARABÎ’S المشاهد , <sup>1</sup> inscribed من باب الاشتراك فى التقدير للشيخ الاكبر من المشاهد . A short treatise on the three grades of existence. It is inscribed by a different hand,رسالة تقسيم موجودات . According to the beginning (مراتب الموجودات الخ), it seems to be identical with the treatise mentioned by Ḥ. Kh. iii. 452, under رسالة فى الوجود in the second place , and ascribed by him to SAIYID SHARÎF ; and also with Cat. Lugd. iii. 376, MDLXV., though the latter is ascribed to Molla Luṭfî.</p> <p>VI.Foll. 142<em>v</em>.143. As this is evidently the author’s own copy, and as it is written in the same hand as no. 679, the author appears to be ‘ALAWÎ B. ‘ABDALLAH بروم, who flourished in the earlier part of the twelfth century.</p> <p>He says in his preface: الحمدلله الذى مدّ ظلّ كرمه مدّا واسعا على العباد ... اما بعد فانى لما رايت كتاب منازل السائرين للعارف بالله قدوة اولياء الله. عبد الله بن محمد الانصارى الهروى الشافعى قدس الله سره و نور ضريحه مع شرحه للامام العالم الربانى القاشانى (!) حاویَیْن لمقامات سائرين الى حضرة سيد السادات لكن كان فيهما التطويل الذى لا يناسب حال مريدى هذا الزمان و سالكى طريق الحبيب المنان اردت ان الخصهما مع وفور المرام لزيادة ما يناسب من الكلام بالطف الالفاظ الخ.</p> <p>The text and commentary are marked with م and ش respectively .
