Sensitivity of fire weather indices, fuel sticks and satellite observations to fuel moisture content in Central European forests - Data

<p>This data repository contains datasets for destructively measured fuels of different types (FMC_insitu), meteorological data including 10-hour fuel stick measurements (FWS_30min) and calculated fire weather index components (FWS_FWI_24h) for four different sites in the Tharandt forest and Saxon Switzerland National Park in the Free State of Saxony (Germany) during the years 2022 (only DE-Tha) and 2023 (all four sites).</p> <p>The provided folders contain .csv files for each study site. Meteorological data in 30min for DE-Tha can be derived from the ICOS data portal (https://data.icos-cp.eu/portal/). For the remaining three sites (DE-BLB, DE-BWB, DE-SHW), past and recent data can be viewed via EMS Brno (e.g., http://www.emsbrno.cz/p.axd/en/Beech__Landberg.TU__DRESDEN.html). Upon request, the authors can share the data.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>FMC_insitu</strong>: Destructively sampled fuel moisture content of different fuel types.</p> <p><strong>FWS_30min</strong>: Original measurements from the fire weather stations in 30 min time steps</p> <p><strong>FWS_FWI_24h</strong>: Measurements from fire weather stations in 24h time steps and the calculated fire weather index and its components. Review of Emissions from Smouldering Peat Fires

<p>The file contains two table compilations of up-to-date inter-study of peat fire gas and particle&nbsp;emission factors (EFs) found in the scientific literature, both from laboratory and field studies. According to the geographical origins of the peat used in fire emission studies, we classified the samples into two categories: boreal and temperate peat (we merge these two climate zones into one category owing to the limited sampling location information reported in the literature), and tropical peat.&nbsp;By doing this, &nbsp;the best estimate peat fire EFs were calculated and compared between the two peat categories for the first time. It is hoped that the complied peat fire EFs can be used to improve the estimation of the&nbsp;total peat fire emission.&nbsp;</p> <p>This data was analysed in our journal paper paper:<br> Y. MODIS (MAIAC) composites for south america is not provided here because of its huge file size (contact ricds@hotmail.com).</p> <p>- Final bamboo die-off data from 2001-2017 using the simple bilinear model (combination from band 2 and 5, p-value &lt; 0.001). The data used for Figure S3. File: &quot;Theoric_death_merged_band2_band5.tif&quot;</p> <p>- Bamboo die-off detected from 2001-2017 using the simple bilinear model (files&nbsp;Theoric_death_year_band2 and&nbsp;Theoric_death_year_band5, and&nbsp;Theoric_pvalue_band2 and&nbsp;Theoric_pvalue_band5). FlowBlaze on Fed4FIRE+ FB-FIRE Final Results of the Experiment

<p>This repository contains the results of the FB-FIRE experiment. The aim of FB-FIRE is to test, validate and assess in the Fed4FIRE+ Virtual Wall testbed the performance of FlowBlaze, a novel stateful programmable dataplane engine that can simplify network functions (NF) design and implementation, while providing high performance packet forwarding, and support for future hardware offloading to SmartNICs. FlowBlaze is an abstraction that can be implemented in an efficient DPDK-accelerated software engine, conceived to rapidly design and deploy complex network functions hiding the complexity of software optimizations associated to the development of network functions.</p>
