IODP Expedition 383 P-wave velocity logger (whole round)
P-wave velocity data were measured on whole-round sections on the Whole-Round Multisensor Logger (WRMSL) using pairs of piezoelectric transducers mounted on a caliper system. Measurements may be affected by degassing of pore fluid and microfracturing during core recovery. Report includes P-wave velocity in x-y plane and distance and traveltime between transducers.
IODP Expedition 378 P-wave velocity caliper (section/discrete)
P-wave velocity data were measured on undisturbed section halves (JRSO-defined x-axis) and/or discrete cube and cylinder samples (x, y, or z-axis) using pairs of piezoelectric transducers mounted on a caliper system. Report includes P-wave velocity in x, y, and/or z-direction, caliper separation, traveltime between transucers, and first arrival picks.
IODP Expedition 378 Portable X-ray fluorescence (p-XRF)
Energy-Dispersive X-Ray Fluorescence (ED-XRF) is a rapid, non-destructive technique for determining qualitative and quantitative changes in chemical composition. Aboard the JOIDES Resolution, pXRF is used for measuring points on section halves, rock pieces, and sometimes powders. Spots are typically irradiated at multiple conditions to excite and measure a wide range of elements. The peak intensity changes (we do not provide concentrations) are then used to help recognize and define major chemo-stratigraphic units without the need for destructive sampling.

Surface brightness temperatures measured by the MiRAC-P microwave radiometer onboard the RV Polarstern during the ATWAICE expedition PS144 to the Arctic in summer 2022

The data set contains daily files of raw microwave radiation measurements by the MiRAC-P (or LHUMPRO-243-340) microwave radiometer (see Mech et al., 2019) onboard about 22 m height at the top deck (starboard) of RV Polarstern during cruise PS131 (ATWAICE expedition). Via a mirror construction the radiometers were observing the surface at a viewing angle of about 53° off-nadir for 15 min each hour. The actual viewing angle could vary by a few degree because of ship motion. The data covers the range July 11, 2022 to August 11, 2022. The radiation measurements are given as brightness temperatures in six double side band averaged G band (183.31 +/- 0.6 to 183.31 +/- 7.5 GHz), vertical polarization, and one higher frequency (243 GHz) channel, horizontal polarization. The 340 GHz channel was malfunctioning.

Version 2 of the uploaded data is quality-controlled (see the flag variable).

A subset of the EMARS dataset in MY24 and MY26 converted from the sigma-p hybrid coordinate to the pressure coordinate and a list of local dust storms detected during the MYs in western Arcadia Planitia

This dataset includes a subset of EMARS' background mean data (Greybush et al., 2019) converted from the sigma-p hybrid coordinate to the pressure coordinate. Only MY24 and MY26 were used to generate the figures shown in Ogohara (submitted to JGR Planets).
Updates from the original EMARS are:

The vertical coordinate has been converted from the sigma-p hybrid coordinate to the pressure coordinate.

The variables expressing the Earth date (e.g., year, month, day, etc.) have been combined into one variable, earth_date.

A new variable, emars_date, has been created from emars_sol and mars_hour.

In addition, this dataset provides two lists of local dust storms events during MY24 and MY26 which were detected in western Arcadia Planitia using a deep learning-based method proposed by Ogohara and Gichu (2022). The lists are:

[Data Set S1] List of global image swath files examined. Only file names of MGS/MOC red band images are listed. The list consists of 5 columns indicating image ID, observation date, orbit number, solar longitude, and filter name (RED).

[Data Set S2] List of global image swath files containing identified dust storms, as well as some attributes of the detected dust storms. Only file names of red band images are listed. The list consists of 7 columns indicating image ID, observation date, orbit number, solar longitude, center longitude and latitude, and area (km2.)
