Rock Art - MA097-006001- Boheh Stone
The Boheh stone is a national monument in State ownership (no. 530). A large natural boulder of out-cropping rock, it is known locally and recorded on OS maps as 'St Patrick's Chair & Knee Mark'. The stone bears one of the finest collection of petroglyphs in Ireland spread out over an area c. 4m square. The motifs, over 250 in number, have been carved on all surfaces of the stone at various levels (van Hoek 1993) and mainly take the form of 'cup', 'cup and rings' and 'keyhole' designs. The carvings have formed the basis of a 'rolling sun' thesis (Bracken and Wayman 1992; Van Hoek 1993) where the setting sun appears to glide or roll down the north flank of Croagh Patrick around two particular dates during the year (18th April and 24th August). A further panel of art was exposed on the stone in 2015. (Kinahan 1878-9; Bracken and Wayman 1992; Van Hoek 1993; Morahan 2001, 28-9) Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Art / Rock - Rock of Life -
Made without references and without inspiration pictures. I just started to model in Blender. At first it was just a simple Rock, but then I made this piece of Art out of it. It is the first sculpt I made. Inspect it to discover what can gives you true love and life. The file includes the original .blend and one .fbx. The model is not textured and has no UV yet. Honnhammer Rock Art Site II, VI, VIII and IX
In 2015, the NTNU University Museum conducted a digital survey of four painted rock art fields at the well-known rock-art site at Honnhammer in Tingvoll, Møre and Romsdal County. By using digital photogrammetry, it was possible to reconstruct detailed and accurate three-dimensional surface model of the area with the four panels. Methods for colour manipulation that can accentuate pigments and thus highlight weak / invisible parts of paintings were employed. The two methods were combined in finished models and orthophotographic images. Photo Åge Hojem / Modelling and manipulation Raymond Sauvage, NTNU University museum Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Tauruscatapsy was an exercise in which gymnasts performed demonstrations of agility, on foot or on horseback with the mediation of a wild bull. Although the term taurocatapsia was originally used to describe the bull jumps that were practiced in Thessaly in classical times, the term has become widespread to encompass those of other times and places. Thus, it is a motif of the figurative art of the Middle Bronze Age, and in particular of Minoan art, where scenes of this activity appear on numerous occasions, both in the decoration of walls and in stamps and in some figurines. https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taurocatapsia Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Fethard - Folk Art 19th C
The art consists of two plaques, one placed on top of the other. The upper plaque contains the name " P. RUSSEL" set within a frame. It is carved into a limestone. This smaller plaque sits on top of a square limestone block with the words "Built Oct 7, 1832". On the left is the head and shoulders of a bishop wearing mitre and holding a hooked crozier. On the right of the inscription is the figure of a man set in a frame. In the coming months we will be researching and investigating the ownership of the house and attempting to tease out the meaning of the carvings. We will also be telling you about the results of the photogrammetry survey carried out in 2016 thanks to funding from Rosin O'Grady Tipperary Heritage Office [More Details](https://irishfolkartproject.wordpress.com/2017/03/01/folk-art-in-the-town-of-fethard/ Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
Eday Manse Rock Art, Orkney
In 1821 a Neolithic cairn on Eday, Orkney, Scotland, was demolished to allow a new church to be constructed. This 1.4m long slab of stone exhibiting finely pecked spirals, which was probably a linel in the tomb, was found in the demolition rubble. The motifs on this stone are characteristic of Late Neolithic passage grave art found in western Britain and Ireland. This stone is on display at National Museums Scotland and was photographed under museum lighting conditions. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
Escoural Rock Art Painting number 9
Discovered on an April afternoon in 1963, after an explosion of a quarry, the Escoural Cave proved to be an unavoidable site for the history of archeology in Portugal. What the cavel represents today transcends its tourist value, and assumes itself as an international reference for Paleolithic art as the westernmost point of Europe with such artistic representations of Prehistory. The cave art of the Escoural Cave fits in chronologically between 20,000 and 18,000 years a. C. In addition to the engravings, paintings depicting various figures from aurochs to equines as well as geometrical are also known. This is the 3D model of the rock art painting panel number 9, featuring three convergent strokes at the top, possibly representing a hut. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
