<p>This is the first version of the IHA database, which is being created in the project HAPPAA C1 funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) – Projektnummer 352015383 - SFB 1330 C1. (https://uol.de/en/sfb-1330-hearing-acoustics)</p> <p>The database includes a subsample of 10 human geometries comprising the torso, head and the entire outer ear including the ear canal and eardrum. The data are available in two different 3D object formats: ply binary file, stl binary file.</p>

Online Real-Time Delphi Survey for the research project "MENARA" - Compilation of all Comments to Closed and Open Questions
<p><strong>Looking into the Futures: Delphi Survey about the MENA region</strong></p> <p>In order to get a more realistic overview of the situation and trends, of the potentials, problems and potentials of the countries of the MENA region a Real Time Delphi survey was conducted. This is an important tool of modern future research. It was managed by the IZT- Institute for Future Studies in Berlin. A group of 139 experts and researchers from different institutes and organizations were invited to participate at the Online Real-Time Delphi Survey (RTD) about possible and likely futures of the MENA region. The experts were asked to answer questions and provide their opinions on twelve topics such as social unrest, youth unemployment, urbanization, gender equality, security etc. In this dataset all comments to the closed and the open questions are compiled.</p> <p>The output was one of the basic material used for the creation of future regional scenarios for mid-term (2025) and long-term (2050) time horizons. Focus scenarios were produced in order to exemplify selected characteristic and important future options, in terms of chances and risks (e.g. energy futures).</p>

<p>This dataset (Project_coordinators_survey.csv) contains data related to the survey launched within the Task 1.3 of AE4EU project for the coordinators of agroecology research projects funded by European, transnational, and national programmes identified in the mapping activities. Together with the dataset, the structure of the questionnaire related to this survey is also provided (Project_coordinators_questionnaire_structure.pdf).</p> <p>Answers from respondents were anonymised before the publication. Dataset from: Reporting of patient involvement: A mixed-methods analysis of current practice in health research publications
<p>This record includes the data associated with the study "Reporting of patient involvement: A mixed-methods analysis of current practice in health research publications". In this study, we evaluated the extent and quality of patient involvement reporting in examples of current practice in health research. We used a targeted search strategy to identify publications that report on patient involvement using the following three samples:</p> <ul> <li>Publications published in 2019 in <em>The BMJ, </em>which requires reporting on patient involvement in research articles</li> <li>Publications listed in the PCORI database. We filtered for topic: example of engagement in health research; stakeholder involvement: patients; year: 2019</li> <li>Publications citing the <a href="https://www.bmj.com/content/358/bmj.j3453">GRIPP2 reporting checklist</a> or a <a href="https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/j.1369-7625.2010.00607.x">critical appraisal guideline to assess the quality and impact of user involvement in research</a></li> </ul> <p>After applying our inclusion and exclusion criteria, the final sample consisted of 87 publications that reported on patient involvement. <p>This repository contains all raw and derived data produced as part of the <a href="https://rbtl-fs22.github.io/website/">ETH Zurich course "Research Beyond the Lab: Open Science and Research Methods for a Global Engineer" (151-8102-00L)</a> offered in spring term 2022.</p> <p>Students were assigned teams of four to conduct a collaborative research project broadly addressing the theme of “Trash in the Public Spaces of Zurich” in collaboration with <a href="https://www.stadt-zuerich.ch/ted/de/index/entsorgung_recycling.html">Entsorgung & Recycling Zürich (ERZ)</a>, the waste management department at Stadt Zürich.</p> <p>Research methods and design are taught in the first half of the course. Surveys and a waste characterisation study are then designed based on the research questions students have developed in their respective teams. The collected raw data is used in the course to teach principles of research data management, tidy data structures, reproducible research with R & RStudio, and collaboration and version control with Git & GitHub.</p>

Dataset: Comparative evaluation of a keyword based search and semantic search in a data portal for biodiversity research.
<p>Supplementary material for a comparative evaluation of a keyword based search and semantic search in a data portal for biodiversity research. We conducted a relevance evaluation with 6 users over 19 search questions in two search interfaces.</p> <p>The users provided up to five search questions and relevant keywords from their research background. We setup a dataset search over a corpus of ~92,000 randomly selected metadata files from GFBio (<a href="https://www.gfbio.org">https://www.gfbio.org</a>). For each of their own search queries, the users got two result sets presented. The first one displayed results obtained from a keyword search. The second panel contained dataset results from a prototypical semantic search. Instead of results with exact mentions of the query terms, the semantic search also presented related results with synonyms and more specific terms or terms obtained from concept nodes of a higher hierarchy level.</p> <p>Each user rated the relevance of his/her own search queries on a 7-point Likert scale for both search results.<br> In addition, users also assessed the expanded keywords for each question.</p> <p>More information can be found in our publication:</p> <p>Löffler, F. and Klan, F. <p>This dataset contains the output files of crystal structure prediction calculations (density-functional theory relaxations, bandstructures, phonon calculations, GIPAW-NMR calculations) on the ternary K-Sn-P phase diagram. The researcher and the research institute or research funder turn openly to citizens and involve the relevant societal actors in formulating research questions and collecting and analysing data. In RRI-guided research, scientists never forget to ask themselves: will our research do good to society and the Earth? What will its long-term social, ethical, and ecological consequences be? If a researcher or research-performing organisation integrates responsibility into their work, they will feel more useful and impactful in their profession, all in order to improve the lives of their fellow human and non-human beings. For this reason, it is important for researchers to reflect on their own organisational operations and change their daily routines. This is exactly what the Co-Change Project started to experiment with. In order to raise awareness of RRI, the project initiated ongoing deliberation within and beyond its own organisations through discussing ethics, gender, and open-science-related topics that engage all units that deal with research and innovation, as well as involving external experts and stakeholders in co-creating change.</p> <p> </p>
