To characterize spatial variation in the adult and juvenile density of periwinkle snails, Littoraria irrorata, within two zones in the salt marsh, the mid-marsh and creekbank, and across a gradient in salinity and distance to ocean, we surveyed snail density in October 2016. In each marsh zone at each GCE LTER permanent monitoring site, we counted the number of adult and juvenile snails in replicate quadrats (8 in creekbank and 12 in mid-marsh zones).

Continuous multi-sensor wearable data and daily subject-reported fatigue of heathy adults

<p>Fatigue is a broad, multifactorial concept encompassing feelings of reduced physical and mental energy levels. Fatigue strongly impacts health-related quality of life across a huge range of conditions, yet, to date, tools available to understand fatigue are limited. We collected a total of 28 healthy adult subjects and 973&nbsp;recording days. Recorded data included continuous multimodal wearable sensor time series on physical activity, vital signs, and other physiological parameters at 1-minute temporal resolution, and daily questionnaires (patient-reported outcome scores, PROs) on fatigue. When matching both sensor data and PROs, the datasets contains data from 27 subjects and 405 recording days.</p> <p>Analysis of these&nbsp;multimodal digital data to inform, quantify, and augment subjectively captured non-pathological fatigue measures were published at&nbsp;<em>Luo H., et. al. (2020), Assessment of Fatigue Using Wearable Sensors: A Pilot Study. Digit Biomark</em>.</p> <p>Demographics, sensor parameters and other information on this dataset can be found in the aforementioned manuscript&nbsp;and related supplementary material.</p> <p>Files included are</p> <ul> <li><em>fatiguePROs.csv</em>: daily PROs for all subjects</li> <li>subjectID_*.csv: sensor time series for each subject</li> </ul>

Spatial characterization of the motor and non-motor somal and axonal transcriptome in adult healthy and mutant FUS mice

We applied Nanostring GeoMX Digital Spatial Profiler platform to profile the transcriptome of subcellular compartments in the lower motor circuitry of a mouse model ricapitulating ALS motor symptoms. This work sheds light for the first time on the transcriptomic alterations in axons and in somas which may contribute to axonal degeneration and neuromuscular junction denervation, early features of ALS.</p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table>

Mobile Service Robots Crash Testing with Pedestrians: Safety Assessment with Child and Adult Dummies

<p>Data published with the manuscript:&nbsp;&ldquo;<em>Estimating risks posed by personal mobility devices and service robots to pedestrians: comparative crash testing of adult versus child dummies</em>&rdquo;. 2021&nbsp;(Paez-Granados &amp; Billard, 2021)<br> <strong>Summary:</strong></p> <p>This dataset contains injury measures during collisions between a mobile service robot - Qolo - (Paez-Granados, et al, 2018)&nbsp;and pedestrian dummies: male adult Hybrid-III (H3) and child model 3-years-old (Q3). We present multiple collision scenarios for the assessment of pedestrian safety, considering possible impacts at the legs for adult pedestrians, and legs, chest and head for children.&nbsp;In these tests, we followed known methods of safety analysis used in car crash testing and used a standing wheelchair robot &quot;Qolo&quot; as a representative system of mobile service robots, such as delivery bots (robot without occupant), person carrier robots, autonomous wheelchairs, standing mobility vehicles, and other transport robots expected to operate in pedestrian and public areas.</p> <p>The robot was equipped with an experimental front structure allowing different bumper heights and measurement of reaction forces. On the other hand, the human dummies were equipped with standard instrumentation calibrated in accordance with SAE J211-1 for impact tests, thus, the child dummy, Q3 provided head accelerations, neck forces and moments, chest deflections, and accelerations; and pelvis accelerations. The dummy H3 provided forces and moments at the tibia and femur, and accelerations at the pelvis, chest, and head. <p>These are pseudo-anonymised data from the ComBaCaL survey and belong to the manuscript &quot;Awareness, treatment, and control among adults living with arterial hypertension or diabetes mellitus in two rural districts in Lesotho&quot;.&nbsp;</p> <p>The data dictionary explains the critical data available in the dataset. Between November 2021 and August 2022 , 6061 participants over 18 years old were visited in their households in two districts of Lesotho. Of these, data from those who were diagnosed with either hypertension or diabetes were further analysed and are documented here.</p>

Monitoring adult spring-run Chinook salmon throughout the adult lifespan on Deer and Mill Creek

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) collects data on adult salmonids on Deer Creek and Mill Creek. Data is collected annually via redd surveys on Mill Creek and holding surveys on Deer Creek; video camera systems on both creeks collect data on upstream passage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from February to August. Data from this monitoring is used to estimate adult escapement (upstream passage) abundance and timing, spawner abundance, and other important metrics for adult salmonids in the watershed. These data will also be used to inform the development of a juvenile production estimate (JPE) for spring-run Chinook salmon in the Sacramento River Watershed as required by Condition of Approval 7.5.2 of Incidental Take Permit No. 2081-2019-006-00 (ITP) issued by CDFW to California Department of Water Resources (DWR) for the long-term operation of the State Water Project.

Fall 2012 mid-marsh and creekbank survey of adult and recruit Littoraria irrorata abundance at GCE LTER sampling sites 1-10

The abundance of Littoraria irrorata was investigated at ten sampling sites within the Georgia Coastal Ecosystem (GCE) LTER study area in October 2012. Visual counts of adult Littoraria were conducted within 0.5m x 0.5m creekbank and mid-marsh quadrats in line with permanent GCE vegetation plots. "Recruit" Littoraria (1-4 mm shell length) were found and counted by looking inside all leaf furls within a nested quadrat (0.25m x 0.25m). This method is a new part of the annual GCE monitoring starting in 2012, and supplements the invertebrate data that has been collected since October 2000.
