Ancient Greek Village at Sofiana, Sicily

The remains of a village, Sofiana, ancient Proedium Philosophianum, have been discovered about 6 kilometers south of the Villa Romana of Casale. Excavations hve shown that this ancient Greek community was occupied from the 4th century BCE through Byzantine and Norman periods. A nearby early Christian basilica has also been excavated. The site was mapped using a Phantom 4 Pro drone. Photographs were processed in Reality Capture. Project was funded by the Hitz Foundation. Work initially completed by the GDH team when they were associated with the University of South Florida in 2017. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Ancient greek sword

Base model made in maya, high res model for normals made with Zbrush and texturing made as usual with substance painter, I took inspiration from a sword concept art from ubisoft's Assassin's creed Odyssey. <p>This database has been&nbsp;created by Dr Tosca A.C. Lynch (https://oxford.academia.edu/ToscaLynch) and&nbsp;includes all the notes attested in the ancient Greek musical documents collected in the standard edition&nbsp;(<em>DAGM =&nbsp;</em>P&ouml;hlmann, E. and West, M.L., 2001,&nbsp;<em>Documents of Ancient Greek Music</em>, Oxford: OUP).</p> <p>Dr Lynch will present historically informed interpretations of these data in a series of articles devoted, respectively, to&nbsp;<strong>the</strong> <strong>Classical/Hellenistic harmonic system and the relative documents</strong> (marked as <strong>BC</strong> in this database), and&nbsp;<strong>the Imperial harmonic system and the relative documents</strong> (marked as <strong>AD</strong> in this database).</p> <p>Dubious readings follow P&ouml;hlmann and West;&nbsp;<em>DAGM</em>&nbsp;17-18 are grouped with the Imperial documents, as discussed in the articles.<br> The Greek musical notation fonts used in&nbsp;<em>dDAGM</em>&nbsp;have been designed by&nbsp;Stefan Hagel (Austrian Academy of Sciences, Vienna).<br> <br> In its current form,&nbsp;Database Documents of Ancient Greek Music is not very user-friendly; an enhanced, accessible&nbsp;version of this database&nbsp;shall be developed by Tosca A.C. Lynch in the coming years.<br> Please contact Dr Lynch if you have further questions.</p>
